The Do Your Thing Your Idea Your Way programme has been a powerful platform for new business ideas in Gloucester! 🎉

Over the past few months, we have had the privilege of following an inspiring group of Gloucester based entrepreneurs as they developed their ideas, built their confidence, and pitched their businesses.

We are celebrating the five winners of this programme, delivered with the University of Gloucestershire and Gloucester City Council. 🚀

From creative start-ups to purpose driven ventures, the talent, passion, and resilience shown throughout the competition has been incredible to witness, and this is just the beginning for these founders.

Judging day for the Do Your Thing Competition! 🚀

Today we came together with colleagues from the Gloucester business community to review the applications for the Do Your Thing! competition.

A huge thank you to our judging panel for taking the time to carefully go through each application, learn more about the people behind them, and review the public vote results from our Business Showcase Event at the beginning of March.

It certainly wasn’t an easy decision. Every member of the panel brought valuable insight and experience to the discussion, which made for some really thoughtful deliberations.

A great way to spend a Friday afternoon, helping identify the businesses that will grow, thrive, and make a positive mark on Gloucester’s business community.

Yesterday we were delighted to host our Do Your Thing! Your Idea, Your Way Business Showcase at the University of Gloucestershire City Campus in Gloucester 🎉

From 3–5pm, the space was filled with energy as 10 young entrepreneurs showcased their business ideas to the local community. Guests had the opportunity to meet each founder, visit their stalls, hear their pitches and take part in a public vote on the day.

This showcase is part of the Do Your Thing! Awards programme, with five awards of up to £2,000 available. Following the event, a private panel vote will now take place. Once the panel has reached a decision, their results will be combined with the public vote to determine our five winners.

It was fantastic to see so many passionate young founders confidently sharing their ideas and engaging directly with the community. The level of ambition, creativity and determination on display was truly inspiring.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and of course to our incredible applicants for bringing such energy to the event. Gloucester’s entrepreneurial future is looking very bright! 🌟
