A dear friend with additional needs has lost a parent figure in the last couple of weeks, witnessing the death. The arrangements are out of his hands and the funeral is not till mid January. All I can do is stay close, share time with him, have gentle Christmas fun, give him time to talk. The business of death is different every time, often messy. What can we do? Just lean towards it, as it is, with tenderness. Love to everyone for whom the memories are coming flooding back, at this time. Sophie x

Very happy to be getting going with celebrancy in my (early) 60s! Thank you to friends and family who have said 'You are a celebrant' even before I qualified.

I'm an independent celebrant, here to create the right ceremony for whatever life moment has arisen, here to shape your ideas, respond to what really matters to you at this time.
