💚 Unboxing to reveal something so beautiful (not simply the box), but the ingredients; Soil Association Natural, the aroma ❤️ and the blue glass bottle absolutely gorgeous too.

Something for my own fragrance wardrobe (well I don't have anything currently in terms of perfume as nothing has been ticking the ingredient boxes, as well as being accessible & reasonably priced), which is also Cruelty Free, (everything certified by the is) and these are vegan approved too.

✨ Can you guess what it smells like? Impossible....so do head along to one of my organic pop-up locations this month (you'll find my November programme on my grid here too) or if you live miles away & interested in swapping to a natural perfume, just drop me a message.

Something I've noticed when it comes to the talk around Advent Calendars this year, is the majority of Top 10 "Beauty" Advent Calendar lists are focusing purely on the total number of full-sized products and how much money can be saved. That's all great, but.....

Why aren't sustainability metrics included in the breakdown & ranking? Anyone else feel this standard is still lacking & should actually be THE measure?

Of course they are all beautifully packaged, but many across the beauty industry, similarly with the snack and toy industries will rely heavily on single-use plastics, excessive cardboard, and carbon-heavy individual packaging.

True eco-friendly options aren't so easy to find nor widely promoted in the media. Finding 10 mainstream, highly coveted calendars that are genuinely sustainable, particularly when it comes to beauty, skincare & wellbeing, is nearly impossible! But maybe this is the year that instead of buying the "brand" at the top of the size of product & savings list, we, the consumer looks closer at the contents; the packaging & ingredients......

With specific lists designed strictly as a financial and product-count breakdown for budget-conscious shoppers looking for the highest return on investment, will typically mean the planet will come last. There is always a "true cost".

Maybe it's time to create our own list.....(And yes, if I was an Advent Calendar kind of girl this would be at the top of mine!)
