Our team recently carried out Radiographic Inspection (RT) on the welds of six 4,800L stainless steel vessels for a client.
Behind every weld inspection is a careful process. The radiation source and film cassette are positioned, an image quality indicator is placed to verify sensitivity, and the correct exposure is calculated before the team steps back to let the radiation do the work.
Once exposed, the film is processed and interpreted to identify any discontinuities hidden beneath the surface. Every stage is carried out with precision because when it comes to safety and quality, there are no shortcuts.
