Rheola transmitter is currently still offline. Western power estimates any homes still without power in the same area will be restored by 23:00 tomorrow night. this however doesn't mean the transmitting station will come back online.
Local experience from past years suggests that the transmitter will be one of the last things to be sorted out. If a branch has fallen onto the overhead power lines that snake their way up the mountain from Pentreclwydau, then they usually have to get the yellow survey helicopter to follow the lines to find where to deploy the repair team.
Unfortunately, untill the transmitter is back online, there is nothing that can be done to restore tv freeview or DAB radio channels.
The transmitter status will be checked every few hours, and an update posted with any changes

The rheola transmitter is back online. Freeview services are restored to the Neath Valley area

Rheola transmitter is currently offline. This means there are no freeview services available to those in the Neath Valley who's aerial is directed at this mast.

With Storm Eunice shortly due to hit, there's a chance your TV services may be affected.

Satellite TV may lose signal during heavy rain. As the rain eases, the signal collected by your dish will improve.
Wind may move your dish, totally losing the signal. If this happens, it will need to be realigned once the storm has passed, and ladder work is safe to resume.

Terrestrial TV, Freeview, BT Vision, EE TV, and other similar services.
If you lose all of your BBC and ITV freeview services, it's possible that the transmitter at Rheola has failed. High winds can cause branches to fall onto the power lines that supply the transmitter station.
If you lose these channels, DO NOT attempt to retune your set top box. When the power to the transmitter is restored, your channels will return. If you retune, you will be left with no channels.

Neath Valley Freeview has changed today, your TV may be saying 'No Signal' on some channels. A simple retune will fix this for you. This is being done by the transmitter owners ready to make way for 5G mobile

The freeview transmitter at Rheola is currently down, the Neath Valley is unable to receive freeview services if your aerial is pointed at this transmitter. Theres is nothing that can be done untill SSE inspect the power lines leading up the mountain

If you live in the Glynneath, Resolven and surrounding areas and your Freeview aerial is pointing to Rheola, the signals changed last week. If you can no longer pick up ITV, CH4, 5, etc after a retune, you may need a new aerial.
