What we love to see in our branches. 💗

Kirsten, our Branch Manager, and Alice, our Senior Carer, spent time out visiting some of our clients in their own homes, taking along a few cupcakes, more importantly, making time for a proper chat and catch-up.

It wasn’t a special occasion. There didn’t need to be one.

Supporting people at home is about so much more than the visits on a rota. It is knowing the people behind the front door, noticing the little things and always thinking of ways to bring a bit of company, conversation and happiness into someone’s day.
our teams are always looking for different ways to make people feel thought about, valued and part of something.

The cupcakes may have been small, but the thought behind them certainly wasn’t. 🧁💕

This role is about finding great people, not just waiting for applications to come in. You’ll be sourcing candidates, speaking to applicants, arranging interviews, supporting onboarding and getting out into the local community to help us attract the right people.

We’re looking for someone organised, personable and driven, with the confidence to pick up the phone and make things happen.

Experience in recruitment, home support or healthcare would be a real advantage.

Are you kind, reliable and looking for a role where you can make a real difference to someone’s day?

We are looking for caring people to join our friendly Godalming team, providing companionship and support to people in their own homes.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential. What matters most is having the right attitude and genuinely caring about others. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

With temperatures rising this week, we wanted to share a few simple reminders for staying safe and comfortable in the heat, particularly for those who may be more vulnerable to the effects of warm weather.

✅️ Stay hydrated. It is easy to forget to drink enough water during the day, especially if you are not feeling thirsty. Little and often is a good approach.

✅️ Stay cool indoors. Keep curtains and blinds closed during the hottest part of the day, usually between 11am and 3pm, to help keep rooms comfortable.

✅️ Know the signs. Dizziness, headaches, and feeling unusually tired can all be early signs of heat exhaustion. If you or someone you care for is experiencing these, seek shade, cool water, and rest. If symptoms are severe, do not hesitate to call 111 or 999.

✅️ Check in on those around you. A quick call or visit to a neighbour or family member can make a real difference on hot days.

Our CareAngels are keeping a close eye on the clients they support throughout the warm weather. If you have any concerns about a loved one, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your local team.

One of the things we hear most often is "I didn't know that was possible."

Care at home doesn't have to mean giving things up. For the right person it can mean exactly the opposite. Staying where you belong, in the home you know, surrounded by what's yours, with someone consistent and trusted alongside you.
And for the family around them, it can mean finally being able to breathe again.
