£15.00–£17.00 per hour

Are you kind, reliable and looking for a role where you can make a real difference to someone’s day?

We are looking for caring people to join our friendly Godalming team, providing companionship and support to people in their own homes.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential. What matters most is having the right attitude and genuinely caring about others. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

With temperatures rising this week, we wanted to share a few simple reminders for staying safe and comfortable in the heat, particularly for those who may be more vulnerable to the effects of warm weather.

✅️ Stay hydrated. It is easy to forget to drink enough water during the day, especially if you are not feeling thirsty. Little and often is a good approach.

✅️ Stay cool indoors. Keep curtains and blinds closed during the hottest part of the day, usually between 11am and 3pm, to help keep rooms comfortable.

✅️ Know the signs. Dizziness, headaches, and feeling unusually tired can all be early signs of heat exhaustion. If you or someone you care for is experiencing these, seek shade, cool water, and rest. If symptoms are severe, do not hesitate to call 111 or 999.

✅️ Check in on those around you. A quick call or visit to a neighbour or family member can make a real difference on hot days.

Care at home doesn't have to mean giving things up. For the right person it can mean exactly the opposite. Staying where you belong, in the home you know, surrounded by what's yours, with someone consistent and trusted alongside you.
And for the family around them, it can mean finally being able to breathe again.

We’re looking forward to being at the Godalming Town Show, and we’d love you to come and say hello.

At Guardian Angel Carers Godalming, we believe being part of the local community matters. Care can feel like a difficult subject to start talking about, so our team will be there to answer your questions about care at home, whether you are thinking about support for yourself, a loved one, or simply want to understand what help is available.

There is no pressure and no obligation - just a friendly conversation with a local team who are here to listen, guide and help.

We’re also proud to support Walking Football Club, who will be taking part in the Town Show parade carrying the Walking Football FA Cup after their fantastic achievement in winning the competition last season.

And after the parade, visitors will have the chance to come to the Guardian Angel Carers Godalming stand and have their photograph taken with the cup!

Did you know older people are much more at risk from dehydration and heat - and often don't feel thirsty even when they need fluids?

A glass of water, a quick phone call, or a cool drink dropped round can make a real difference. 💧

Our CarerAngels are trained to spot the signs and keep the people they care for safe and comfortable whatever the weather.
