What a fun day, celebrating wee Tommi's naming. Chaotic, lively, joyful - everything a Naming Day should be πŸ₯³ And a special mention for Tommi's big brother Hunter, who carried out his duties like a pro 😎 He turned shy for the photo opportunity, though 😊

A lovely review from Sally after her twilight wedding in the beautiful Coats Paisley

"Joan married myself and new Hubby on Saturday and I can't thank her enough. A beautifully worded piece from the heart. Not a dry eye in the house.

If anyone is looking to get married and needs a Humanist Celebrant then Joan's your woman!!

Thank you for making our day extra special. πŸ’—"

Thanks, Sally, it was my absolute pleasure! 😊

What a fabulous venue for a twilight wedding! πŸŒ‡ And what a lovely couple, Sally and Mark, surrounded by their children, family and friends ❀️

(As a wee added personal bonus for me, Sally hails from the village my mum & dad used to live in, prompting many happy memories of my younger days 😊)

A beautiful day for a back garden wedding β˜€οΈ

A and C have been together for over 20 years. They've been thinking of marriage for quite a while, but life kept getting in the way. Then C found out that they could hold the ceremony in their own home, and everything fell into place, because it meant both their mums could be there. They had a small, intimate, relaxed ceremony in the company of 8 guests, and the sun shone all day!

A lovely couple, and a ceremony that was exactly what they wanted. My absolute pleasure! πŸ’–

I had the pleasure of celebrating the marriage of my lovely friend Kat last year. She then became seriously ill with encephalitis, caused by Lyme disease. Now well on the road to recovery, she and her husband are taking part in the Thames Trek to raise funds for Encephalitis International. She's an amazing, inspiring woman, and I'm sharing her Just Giving page in the hope that she can raise the maximum amount for this cause that is very close to her heart.

Another fab day yesterday, with Robyn and Callum. The star of the show was their young pageboy - he marched confidently down the aisle, fist-bumped the groom, and announced to the assembled crowd that the bride was on her way! Absolutely adorable πŸ₯°

This memory popped up on my feed today. Becoming a celebrant was the best decision I ever made ( well, I'd better say the second- best, in case my husband reads this 😁)

Monday - introducing another of our newest funeral celebrants, Joan McLatchie Humanist Celebrant, who is based in the Falkirk area.

Joan told us, "I'm delighted to have completed all of my training, and to now be authorised for naming ceremonies, weddings and funerals. I've absolutely loved my journey so far, and believe that conducting funeral ceremonies is one of the great privileges of being a humanist celebrant.

"I see it as my role to support those who are grieving when they are at their lowest ebb, to encourage them to share their memories, and to create a ceremony which celebrates their loved one’s life in an authentic and meaningful way. My aim is to bring some comfort among the sadness by providing a warm, sincere and loving memorial to a life well-remembered."
