Good company and a great product. Very sad news but perhaps not entirely unexpected.

**GREAT PLAINS MANUFACTURING ANNOUNCES CLOSURE OF SLEAFORD UK SITE**
it is with deep regret that we have to inform you Great Plains Manufacturing (formerly Simba) have announced the closure of their operation at Sleaford today and sadly the Great Plains products will no longer be produced for the UK market.

We have been informed that they plan to cease production by mid-year-2017, operations and functions of the Sleaford site will be phased out after the 2017 autumn season. In the future, parts and service operations will continue under the responsibility of Great Plains Manufacturing with support from their sister company, Kverneland Group.

P&B Managing Director – Graham Main commented “Having been told the sad news earlier today. I have been assured that Great Plains will continue to supply spare parts for the life of the existing machines and continue with a service support”

He continues “I would also like to assure you of Peacock and Binnington’s continued support for our customers, and that we will keep you informed of any further developments as they arise”
