8 pre-finished Holdenby oak doors from Howdens fitted, finished off with Newington handles and matching ironmongery

One of the openings was only 1.4m high, so the door needed a fair bit more than just trimming down. I shortened the door to suit and replaced the bottom rail to keep the proportions and give it a proper factory-style finish.

Really pleased with how these turned out.

3 Dordogne Grained White doors from Howdens, finished with Newington ironmongery.

One of these doors needed reducing significantly in height, which meant a bit more work than simply cutting it down.

To keep the door looking properly proportioned, I carefully cut out the bottom rail, reduced the door to size, then glued the rail back into position. Without doing this, the bottom rail would have been lost and the finished door would have looked completely out of proportion.

The bottom of the rail was also re-primed after fitting, as the glue-up pulled away some of the original finish — hence the slight difference you can see in the photos.

It’s the little details you might not notice at first glance that make all the difference to the finished job.

A pair of white-edged mirrored sliding wardrobe doors from Howdens, fitted to make the most of the space while keeping everything looking clean and contemporary.

The full-length mirrors help bounce light around the room and give it a much more spacious feel — practical storage without compromising on the finish.

IKEA BESTÅ media wall complete

The customer supplied and ordered all the IKEA BESTÅ units for this one, leaving me with the job of bringing the design to life.

And when i say it was a tight fit… millimetre perfect, floor to ceiling

Finished with Bergsviken beige marble-effect fronts, glass display cabinets and touch-latch doors for a clean, handleless finish.

Really pleased with how this one came together — a proper built-in look using the IKEA BESTÅ system.
