Case Study

Customer: Broomriggs
Location: Between Hawkshead and Near Sawrey

Services Provided: Commercial grade Integrated Reception System, incorporating Sky HD, Sky Q, Freesat, Freeview, FM/DAB.

A complicated installation, both technically and aesthetically. Installing a new 80cm commercial grade Satellite Television Dish and Terrestrial UHF Aerial out of site on this grand 1914 manor house.

A completely new designed Digital Headend with automatic gain controls has been installed within the roof space to allow even distribution of all signals to individual apartments throughout the property. Independently adjustable signal inputs for Satellite and Terrestrial, the professional matrix combines Legacy Sky HD, Sky Q, Freesat Satellite TV along with Freeview Terrestrial TV, FM & DAB radio and outputs to to each apartment within the building, all UK and EU safety regulations are adhered to regarding electric potential safety bonding all inputs and outputs to protect both users and engineers from the risk of electrical shock and distribution cabling from high voltage surges.

The images show The building itself and old system and cabling before the new system was installed, and the finished System Headend, now distributing SkyQ, SkyHD, Freesat, and Freeview.

Working at The Forest Side in Grasmere again this week made us realise we have been working with the Forest Side for 10 years now since the original installation completed back in 2016, and what a fantastic place it is.
Having been involved in the original installation of the TV distribution, Wifi and IT network systems and now the zoned audio system, is it just me or is every engineer the same, when walking around its as if you have X-ray vision, remembering all the cable runs under the floors, behind the wall and all the hidden access points?
However as a final side note, I remember working up on the roof back in 2015, the last Vulcan Bomber flew past on its final flight before retiring. So many memories.

The Best camera setup for lambing, The images are of a two large indoor lambing areas, it will be full of sheep inside here and difficult to keep a track of both areas in real time without spending nights in there with the sheep. We installed these fast dome Pan,Tilt and 24X zoom High Definition Network CCTV cameras, these were part of a whole Farm security system.
There is nowhere the camera cannot see and are fully remote controllable via a mobile phone, tablet and laptop from the comfort of the farm house, until it is necessary.

Both camera transmit the video and telemetry signals from the lambing building to the farm house wirelessly, approximately 100-150m. We can successfully transmit multiple cameras over the same Point to Point digital bridge over open area, up to approx 15km if required.
