🎗️We did it — 100 Miles for Cancer Research UK!

What a day! Last Month ,our Surrey Research Park community came together - scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers and friends, to clock up 100 miles in just one day and raise over £1,000 to support life-saving cancer research.
From rowing to cycling to walking, every mile counted 💪

A huge shoutout to everyone who took part and to the Mayor of Guildford, Councillor Howard Smith, for joining the challenge!

This is what community looks like.
This is for science.
This is for everyone 💙

Here’s some exciting news for anyone looking for a greener or healthier way to get to and from Surrey Research Park – we’re now part of Guildford’s e-bike scheme! 🚲⚡
Nine new docking bays have just been installed near the Park entrance. Download the Beryl app or scan the QR code on an e-bike at the new bays by the Surrey Technology Centre, and follow the off-road cycleway down to the campus and on into the town centre.
Then, let the battery assist help you breeze back up the hill to the Park on your return journey.

Women make up nearly half of the global workforce but only 29% of STEM roles, according to 2024 research from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

So far in the Women of Surrey Research Park campaign, we’ve featured trailblazing individuals, but today, we shine the spotlight on a collective force of brilliant women working together.
 
At Venner Shipley, women make up an impressive 70% of the Guildford team (13 out of 18 members), demonstrating the strength of collaboration, leadership, and expertise in intellectual property law, a field where female representation is still growing.
