⚠️ Asbestos training is a legal requirement, not a box-ticking exercise.

A recent HSE prosecution highlights the consequences of failing to provide adequate asbestos awareness training.

Our latest blog explores why asbestos training matters, who needs it, and the importance of annual refresher training for keeping workers safe and organisations compliant. At BSA, we help businesses stay compliant and keep their people safe through expert asbestos awareness training.

Join us on the 13th July for our FREE Fire Safety Awareness webinar hosted by Catriona Sinclair and Barry Rutley.

Since 2017, significant changes have been introduced to UK fire safety legislation, including recent amendments to the Fire Safety Order that place additional responsibilities on all Responsible Persons (RPs). These changes require fire risk assessment findings and fire safety arrangements to be formally recorded, regardless of building size or employee numbers, while also strengthening information-sharing and cooperation between building owners and emergency service.

During this webinar, we’ll be covering👇

🔥 Amendments to the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 (RRFSO)
🔥 Building Regulations 2010 Approved Document B and the introduction of the Fire Safety Act 2021(FSA)
🔥 Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 (FSER) - there have been numerous changes to your duties as the Fire Safety Responsible Person.

If you wish to attend but aren’t available during this time, don’t worry! This webinar will be recorded, and we’ll be sending it directly to your inbox along with the full presentation once it’s finished!

This week, we were proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week by taking part in this year's theme - action. 💚

Some of our team wore green, got in some extra steps, shared sweet treats, and took the time to have some great conversations.

Together, we also raised just over £150 for the Mental Health Foundation. Thank you to everyone who got involved and helped support such an important cause!👏

Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May) is a reminder that awareness alone is not enough - action matters. 💚

Small everyday actions can make a real difference to our mental wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. Whether it’s getting enough sleep, taking a short walk, checking in on a friend, or simply listening without judgement, these moments all count.

This year, we’re supporting MHAW by wearing green, getting in some extra steps, and bringing some treats into our office's to help spark conversations and connection.

Because small actions really can help create a world where good mental health is possible for everyone.

For further information on Turning Awareness into Action, supporting yourself & others, building healthy habits, taking small steps, getting involved, and accessing helpful resources, read our latest newsletter below 👇

This Mental Health Awareness Week (11-17 May) theme is Action and while understanding mental health is important, awareness alone is not enough.

Not every victory is measured by a scorecard.

Last weekend, our team member Conor Mcintosh stepped into the boxing ring after months of hard training and discipline. While the result didn’t go his way, that doesn’t take away from the achievement.

It takes real courage to step into the ring and be tested both physically and mentally. His commitment and resilience shown throughout has been incredible to see.

Win or lose, just taking part is a victory in itself!

A huge well done Conor, from all of us at BSA👏

It’s been an exciting week here at BSA as we kicked off our CDM Academy🚀

This is the first of five academies being delivered over the next four months, with two days of training each month!

The programme provides a solid foundation in CDM 2015 and the role of the Principal Designer, alongside a clear understanding of BSA’s processes👷‍♂️📘

It highlights the importance of design risk, the principles of prevention, and the value of strong influencing skills within the CDM role.

Wishing all our attendees the best of luck — we hope you enjoy developing your knowledge and growing within your roles 🌱👏.
