On models like dc40/dc41/dc50/up22/up23 they all have 2 hoses underneath. It is very common for the red hose to pop out and the clear hose is prone to deteariate.

So we would recommend checking/replacing if the suction has dropped or if the machine won't stand up properly, the hose can be checked like in this video.

This is a service we are able to provide, should you require it.
