Where have we been this week then?! 📍😄

This week we have been in Plzeň, Czech Republic fitting machinery guarding systems on 3 x lathes.

This is a project that’s been in the making for just under one year.

It went a bit like this…

📋⚠️An original PUWER 98 site survey in Plzeň on 3 lathes.
🧑🏻‍💻Quote from Solon Systems for guarding works required.
✅Order placed by customer.
📈Follow up design trip in Plzeň.
👨‍🏭Manufacturing & powder coating in the UK.
🚚Shipping of goods.
👷🏻1 week installation at the client’s site in Plzeň.

BIG thanks to our fitter Scott for fitting the job and for overcoming some minor obstacles during the install. Thanks to our designer Tony who went over to design and David for his expertise…Not forgetting everyone else involved, especially the engineers who manufacture. You are all appreciated. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This week Solon have successfully installed sets of lathe leadscrew guards within a College on 10 x lathes. 🔧📒⚠️

Lathes: Harrison M300’s and Colchester Student Lathes.

When working with students it’s vital that any machinery students are working on are adequately guarded in line with PUWER 98 regs.

Luckily Solon have the lathe guarding solutions required.

A recent machine safety guarding project by Solon Systems on 7 machines for a customer in Nuneaton, UK.

Solon were able to offer machine guard solutions using our ‘standard’ machine guards for quick, operator friendly and PUWER 98 compliant protection on each machine.

E.stops & lathe safety kick wire also supplied and fitted.
