How to pay for training to be a professional pilot? It’s a problem the world over and one that Irish training company Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA) is tackling head on.

AFTA is developing a dedicated scheme for commercial pilot students with finance specialists Elevate Credit Union and Clonmel Credit Union.

The initiative follows the Pathfinder for Irish Aviation report, commissioned by Irelandia and written by aviation experts Joe Gill and former Irish Aviation Authority and Eurocontrol director general Eamonn Brennan.
