Unfair dismissal rules are changing from 1 July 2026 and many businesses are more exposed than they realise.

From this date, new employees will gain unfair dismissal protection after just 6 months instead of 2 years.

This is not something to think about later. The decisions you make around hiring and onboarding now could directly impact your business in early 2027.

🚩 You could already be at risk if:

❌ Your contracts still include 12-month probation periods
❌ Performance conversations aren’t being documented
