A great win for one of our members, Paxora Stays.

Paxora now has a new direct booking website, giving guests a much easier way to search properties, check availability and book directly.

The new booking experience was developed by fellow HBG member CLK Marketing and works within Paxora’s existing booking management system, so availability and reservations stay synchronised across the different channels they use.

That means Paxora can grow direct bookings without creating a separate system to manage alongside everything else.

A great result for Paxora and a nice example of collaboration between two HBG members.

Before someone joins Harrogate Business Group, we ask them to tell us about their business. Not because we’re looking for reasons to say no. In fact, we very rarely do.

It’s because we want to understand what they do, who they work with and how they see themselves fitting into the group.
It also gives existing members a chance to spot any areas of overlap.

Sometimes two businesses may offer similar services, but that doesn’t automatically mean there’s a problem. Often, a conversation is enough to establish whether they can happily work alongside each other, refer different types of work, or simply agree where the boundaries sit.

For us, that matters.

A good business group isn’t just about adding more names to the membership list. It’s about bringing together people who can build relationships, share opportunities and contribute to the group in a positive way.

Sometimes it’s about listening.

It was great to see a few familiar faces at our meeting last Friday!

Some of the business owners who joined us for our recent social decided to come along and see what a Friday morning at Harrogate Business Group is actually like.

Our socials are a great way to meet people in a relaxed setting, but there’s something different about coming to a meeting and seeing the group in action.

Hopefully they enjoyed the early start as much as we enjoyed having them! 😊

Last Friday, Jacob talked us through how financial planning can help us get a clearer idea of when we could realistically afford to retire, and how looking at our income, investments, expenses and future plans together can help us see what retirement could look like at different ages.

A really interesting session, and a good example of how networking isn’t just about promoting our businesses. It’s also about learning from the experience and expertise within the group.
