On Friday 11 September, we’ll be joined by PC Courtney Irons from the Protect and Prevent Cyber Crime team.

Courtney works with individuals and organisations to raise awareness of cyber crime and help reduce the risk of businesses becoming victims.

She’ll be sharing useful information about the threats facing businesses across North Yorkshire and the steps you can take to protect your organisation.

It was great to see a few familiar faces at our meeting last Friday!

Some of the business owners who joined us for our recent social decided to come along and see what a Friday morning at Harrogate Business Group is actually like.

Our socials are a great way to meet people in a relaxed setting, but there’s something different about coming to a meeting and seeing the group in action.

Hopefully they enjoyed the early start as much as we enjoyed having them! 😊

Not everyone wants to retire early, but plenty of us do. And if you’re one of them, the big question is: 'When can you actually afford to do it?'

Do you have to wait until State Pension age?

Last Friday, Jacob talked us through how financial planning can help us get a clearer idea of when we could realistically afford to retire, and how looking at our income, investments, expenses and future plans together can help us see what retirement could look like at different ages.

A really interesting session, and a good example of how networking isn’t just about promoting our businesses. It’s also about learning from the experience and expertise within the group.

A few photos from our summer social last week.

More than 30 local business owners and professionals joined us for a relaxed afternoon of food, drinks and plenty of conversation.

It was great to have a few hours away from our usual meetings to catch up, meet some new faces, share experiences and simply get to know each other better.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such an enjoyable afternoon.

We're already looking forward to the next one!
