This is probably the hardest thing I’ve had to do. I’ve made the decision after 10 years of Hi-Shine to cease trading. 😢
I’m heartbroken, I’ve thought about it for a year and the time feels right to say goodbye to this amazing chapter in my life and move forward. ❤️‍🩹
22years I’ve been dabbling in the nail industry, I’ve seen it change so much and it’s just not for me anymore.
I’m very stubborn and dug my heels in way longer than I should have.
It’s just not worth the stress and strain my body has gone through, I’ve got bad wrists, bad back, bad hips all for £10 an hour(if I’m lucky)
I know nail techs are screaming “up your prices” believe me, I have and every time I have I loose clients and never fill the spots. 😔

I can hold my head high knowing I’ve took my little business as far as I could. 🥹
I had a salon ✅
I wrote an allergy blog for HONA ✅
Me and my husband had emails and phone calls with Jim McConnell to discuss said allergy’s! 😱
I wanted to do my educators degree- And I did! ✅
I wanted to educate - and I did! ✅
I wanted to educate for a professional brand - and I did! ✅
Traveled the country for work ✅
I wanted to be the best in the area for my nail art and I am! Yea I’m guna toot my own fu**in trumpet, I’m elish at what I do! 🤷🏻‍♀️ But there’s just no one willing to pay the price for the nails with so many walk in shops in the area. ❌

I’ll honour all bookings throughout the rest of the year and if my absolutely amazing clients still need their nails done I will happily do them(don’t worry mr tax man, I’ll be putting the payments through my new business 🙄) just pop me a DM. I’m insured up until October this year, after this time if I’m still needed to do your nails I’ll renew my insurance. I just don’t want it to be my full time business anymore. Onto bigger and better things. 🤩

Never say never, I might be back in the future but for now I need to do what’s right for me.
