Applicants must own a car and be willing to travel to where support is needed, often in the family home. We also pay travel time and mileage.

We are recruiting across the county, so if you can be flexible and able to cover several shifts a week when an assessment is underway, family support is a great way to combine your experience by helping vulnerable children across Norfolk.

This is an employed role on a zero hour contract, as demand for our support varies weekly according to family needs. Salary is £14 weekdays, £15 Saturday and £16 Sundays. Full training given in family support and child contact supervision.

We are expanding our team of part time child contact supervisors in Mid Sussex.

As a Child Contact Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial role in facilitating safe and supportive family time between children and their non-resident parents or significant others. You’ll oversee these sessions ensuring that the environment remains positive and safe for the children.

We need candidates to have availability on a regular day/s each week. This can be weekday only availability (as long as this includes after school hours and school holidays) or weekend only availability (Saturdays and/or Sundays) or a mixture of availability of days across the week.

This role works well around other part time work, or semi retirement for example.

Candidates must be prepared to work in both in Hassocks and Hayward Heath Child Contact Centres as well as the Sussex community and undertake child transport to and from sessions, when required. Travel time and mileage is paid for community work, but not when working in the centres.

This is an employed role under a zero hour contract and we cannot guarantee minimum weekly hours as the role is demand driven by family needs.

Owning a car owner is essential, as well as a computer for report writing.

Salary: £14.00-£16.00 per hour based on day of week worked.
Previous work with families is essential and an Enhanced DBS is needed for this role, if you do not have one you would need to pay for one if successful.

Our child contact centres are open every day and facilitate family time between a parent and child not living together.

VIDEO BASED FAMILY TIME SESSIONS. We can offer supervised video based contact sessions between a parent and their children. This option can be used in between contact sessions or as an alternative to in person child contact services, especially if one parent lives in another part of the country or is working away.
All sessions are supervised throughout by an experienced child contact supervisor, who also facilitates the connections, ensuring no direct contact between parent and child outside of the session NACCC

We are looking for dedicated part time family support workers across Norfolk.

A background working with families is essential. These are zero hour bank positions with no minimum hours guaranteed as the duration of time we work with a family, as will lengths of shifts and demand for our services. We often are working as part of an ongoing assessment of a family by a Local Authority.

Occasionally we also have 12hr day and night shifts available, for those wanting them. This is a very flexible role and can fit in well around semi retirement or other part time work as we operate 24/7, and you can choose which work to accept. However we do need people with good availability as when we are working with a family we are there daily and over a period of weeks, so need a small team to facilitate that support.

Much of our work is in family homes, so applicants must be car owners and willing to travel, we do pay mileage and travel time for all community based work. In addition as report writing is required applicants must own a computer with MS word.

Key responsibilities include:

· Safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children and families
· Monitoring child welfare and delivering parenting support Working with social workers and professionals to assess and support family needs
· Writing high-quality reports and shift logs and maintaining accurate records If needed ,supervising child contact sessions between a parent or relative and child/ren not living with them.

Do you live in Mid Sussex or East Sussex and have a background working with families ? We are seeking weekend Part Time Child Contact Supervisors at both our Mid Sussex centres (Hassocks and Haywards Heath, West Sussex)or East Sussex (Eastbourne and Hastings )and the Sussex community. Please specify East Sussex or Mid Sussex when applying, you would work at both centres in your area and the local community.

Applicants must be available to work some sessions weekly at a weekend. Sunday availability is essential for Mid Sussex.This role is ideal to work around other part time positions or semi- retirement.

As a Child Contact Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial role in facilitating safe and supportive family time between children and their non-resident parents or significant others. The children we work with may be living with a parent, an extended family member or foster carer.

There may be the opportunity to cover other sessions due to staff leave and at peak times based on your general availability and our needs. Weekly availability is essential as if you are allocated a family their sessions will often be every weekend over many months. Session lengths vary according to family need, but a typical session might be 2-3hrs.

These roles are on zero hour employed contract due to the demand driven nature of our work. Car owner essential as is owning a computer for report writing in MS Word. The is an employed position and the salary is £14 Monday to Friday, Saturday £15ph and Sundays £16ph.
