Weekend family time supervisors wanted in our Colchester child contact centre
This flexible role is ideal for someone experienced at working with families who is looking to take on some weekend working and bring their skills to help children spend time with a relative.
Candidates must be able to undertake a few sessions each week on a Saturday and/or Sunday when needed as a family is allocated to them. It is not necessary to work both Saturday and Sunday, if you prefer not to, but you must be able to commit to covering some family sessions weekly, as needed.
Due to the demand driven nature of our work, all roles are zero-hour bank contracts, as we cannot guarantee minimum hours, but once a family is allocated to a supervisor the sessions often last for many months
The children we work with may be living with a parent, an extended family member or foster carers. Family time provide parents with the opportunity to spend quality time with their children who are not living with them, in a neutral space.
A Child Contact Supervisor oversees these sessions in our child contact centre in Colchesterand within the Essex community, ensuring that the environment remains positive and safe for the children.
Some of the work will be community based, so owning a car is essential and being willing to undertake child transport to and from contact sessions when required.
These are employed positions . Earn between £14-16 per hour based on the day of the week worked. Saturdays £15ph and Sundays £16ph
This role requires an Enhanced DBS, if you do not have one you will need to commit to paying for one if successful. Report writing is required, so applicants must own a computer with MS Word.
