Today’s agenda: celebrating 75 wonderful years of Valerie ✨❤️✨

Did I create a mini agenda on my phone and organise the day with military precision? Absolutely. Did Mum know? Absolutely not. 🤣

Stop 1: on Oxford Street for a complimentary blow dry. Mum absolutely loved Dyson’s new lightweight hairdryer, which has now gone straight onto her wish list! ✨

💡 Tip: You can book a complimentary styling appointment online yourself, such a lovely treat, completely free and a fab way to try out their products before you buy…

Stop 2: in Selfridges for a free 30 minute makeover. Mum doesn’t wear much makeup, but the lovely Becca showed her some simple, easy ways to elevate her everyday routine. And because Mum was still carrying her trusty Body Shop bronzing balls around in her makeup bag, I decided it was time for a little upgrade! 💄😉

💡 Tip: You can book online or simply call the store to arrange an appointment.

Stop 3: Lunch at Brasserie of Light, a family favourite. Great food, beautiful surroundings and in my opinion one or the best places in London to celebrate a special anniversary…

💡 Tip: They do an amazing 2 course lunch menu for £28, which is fantastic value located inside

Sharing this wonderful experience with Mum so I can always look back and smile. ✨🎶🎷❤️

I’ve always preferred making memories over buying / receiving gifts. The moments, laughter and time spent means so much more to me.

Last night we saw the incredible at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and it was everything and more. ✨🎷❤️

The atmosphere, the music, the décor, the cocktails… every detail was just perfect. It felt like stepping back in time for a few hours and being completely immersed in the magic of live music and mum ❤️

That’s why I choose making memories every time…✨

Last night we were invited to celebrate the start of the World Cup and it felt like a bit of a moment for us. ⚽️

Mr Lewis has secured a 6 week contract working for FIFA producing the tournament 🎉⚽️ which started at 11pm last night….

G has worked in the TV industry for 25 years but like most industries, it’s changing fast and going through its own challenges so we’re taking this as a reminder to keep showing up, keep believing, and keep backing each other…

Life has a funny way of surprising you especially when you need it most. ❤️

Now excuse me while I pretend I know anything about football ! You’d think after all these years I would…..😂

Let’s talk about ME time….

Now, most of you already know how much I love ME time! Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love time with my family and friends but every so often, you have to embrace just you, as YOU are important….and I think it’s important to get to know you better…

Solo walking? Yes please 🚶🏼‍♀️
Lunch for one? Lovely 🥰
Spa day solo? Even better 🙏

Me time is where I recharge, think clearly, and do some of my best work (usually horizontal on a lounger, phone off with a pad and pen) ✨

Today has been wonderful, I’ve read, swam, ate, drank, wrote, lolloped and been pampered….honestly, I’m very tempted to stay overnight too 😂

But that’s the thing with me time, you can do it whenever you like! Mind you, this will make you laugh, as soon as I turned my phone on there was a voicemail from Francesca announcing she’s found a tortoise and is bringing him home. 🐢 I think I might just stay here 😂

So don’t feel guilty for choosing you. Prioritise it more, get to know yourself again, and I promise you won’t regret it. ✨
