Sentinel Security & Consultancy Services is looking for professional, reliable and motivated SIA Licensed Door Supervisors and Security Officers to join our growing team.

We have ongoing work available across a variety of sectors including:

🔹 Licensed Venues & Night-Time Economy
🔹 Events & Festivals
🔹 Corporate Security
🔹 Asset Protection
🔹 Football & Sporting Events
🔹 Manned Guarding

💰 Self-Employed (UTR): £14.00 per hour
💰 PAYE: Basic Rate £13.00 per hour + 12.07% Rolled-Up Holiday Pay (£14.57 per hour total)

📍 Portsmouth, Southampton, Chichester, Fareham and surrounding areas
📅 Flexible shifts available - weekdays, weekends and events

🎉🐾 Yesterday was a very special day for one of our own... 🐾🎉

Happy 5th Birthday to our beautiful K9 Athena! 💖

Yesterday was all about being a dog. Athena got to spend her birthday surrounded by the people and dogs she loves most – celebrating with her human brothers and sisters, her human mummy and daddy, and of course her brother, K9 Loki. Plenty of love, cuddles and attention... exactly as it should be! 🩷🎂

Of course, there was no rest for the wicked... today it's straight back to work, doing what she does best. Protecting people and property with the same loyalty, drive and dedication she shows every single day.

Athena isn't just an exceptional working dog – she's family. She's a huge part of Sentinel Security K9, and we're incredibly proud of the confident, loving and reliable girl she's grown into.

Happy 5th Birthday, Athena. Here's to many more years of adventures, wagging tails, deployments and keeping everyone safe. ❤️🐾

🛡️🐕‍🦺 SENTINEL SECURITY K9 🐕‍🦺🛡️

Whilst Portsmouth Pride was unfortunately cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, the responsibility to protect the site remained.

Following the decision to cancel the event, our K9 Unit remained deployed throughout the site breakdown operation, helping to protect infrastructure, equipment, vehicles and event assets whilst contractors and suppliers worked to safely dismantle the site.

Build and break periods often present some of the highest security risks, with valuable equipment on site and increased opportunities for theft, damage and unauthorised access. Our K9 teams provided a highly visible deterrent, assisting with asset protection, site security and crime prevention throughout the operation.

A special mention goes to K9 Loki and K9 Rupert, who remained operational throughout the deployment and played an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment during challenging conditions.

We would also like to thank Portsmouth Pride, the contractors, suppliers, volunteers and fellow security professionals who worked tirelessly throughout the build and breakdown phases to erect, secure and safely dismantle the site in challenging weather conditions.

Whilst today's severe weather has unfortunately resulted in the cancellation of Portsmouth Pride on Southsea Common, we're incredibly proud to see our community still finding a way to come together and celebrate.

Thanks to Portsmouth Pride and our long-standing partners at Hampshire Boulevard, many of the artists and performers originally scheduled for today will still be taking to the stage indoors.

Yesterday was our first year supporting Chichester PRIDE UK - and what a fantastic day it was! 🏳️‍🌈💙

It was a pleasure to be part of such a positive, welcoming and well-supported event, helping to keep everyone safe throughout the day while adding another Pride event to our growing portfolio.

Not only did we provide security for the main event itself, but our K9 Unit also supported overnight site security both before and after the event to help ensure everything could go ahead safely and smoothly as planned. Huge well done to K9s Rupert and Kai and their handlers for their professionalism and dedication overnight. 🐕👏

A massive thank you to all of our staff who worked incredibly hard in the heat, remained professional throughout, and represented the company brilliantly all day.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Red Bull for sponsoring our team and supporting our deployments throughout the event — it was hugely appreciated by the staff working the long hours!

🐾 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR K9 UNIT HANDLERS 🐾

We are proud to announce that our entire Sentinel K9 Unit team has successfully achieved the Canine First Aid Level 2 (VTQ) qualification. 👏

This nationally recognised qualification was delivered by Buddiepet and further strengthens our commitment to professionalism, welfare, and operational readiness within our K9 Unit.

Our handlers are now trained in:

🐶 Canine CPR
🩹 Injury and bleeding management
🌡️ Heatstroke and emergency care
🚑 Emergency response procedures
❤️ General canine first aid and welfare support

At Sentinel, we believe our dogs are more than just working partners — they are part of the team. Ensuring our handlers are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to provide immediate care when needed is something we take extremely seriously.

A huge well done to all of our handlers for their hard work and commitment throughout the course. 👏
