Yesterday was our first year supporting Chichester PRIDE UK - and what a fantastic day it was! 🏳️‍🌈💙

It was a pleasure to be part of such a positive, welcoming and well-supported event, helping to keep everyone safe throughout the day while adding another Pride event to our growing portfolio.

Not only did we provide security for the main event itself, but our K9 Unit also supported overnight site security both before and after the event to help ensure everything could go ahead safely and smoothly as planned. Huge well done to K9s Rupert and Kai and their handlers for their professionalism and dedication overnight. 🐕👏

A massive thank you to all of our staff who worked incredibly hard in the heat, remained professional throughout, and represented the company brilliantly all day.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Red Bull for sponsoring our team and supporting our deployments throughout the event — it was hugely appreciated by the staff working the long hours!

We’re already looking forward to supporting future Pride events! 🌈

🐾 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR K9 UNIT HANDLERS 🐾

We are proud to announce that our entire Sentinel K9 Unit team has successfully achieved the Canine First Aid Level 2 (VTQ) qualification. 👏

This nationally recognised qualification was delivered by Buddiepet and further strengthens our commitment to professionalism, welfare, and operational readiness within our K9 Unit.

Our handlers are now trained in:

🐶 Canine CPR
🩹 Injury and bleeding management
🌡️ Heatstroke and emergency care
🚑 Emergency response procedures
❤️ General canine first aid and welfare support

At Sentinel, we believe our dogs are more than just working partners — they are part of the team. Ensuring our handlers are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to provide immediate care when needed is something we take extremely seriously.

A huge well done to all of our handlers for their hard work and commitment throughout the course. 👏

📣 Astoria Nightclub Receives Life-Saving Bleed Kit

Back in January, The Astoria Nightclub, Portsmouth was equipped with a publicly accessible bleed control kit as part of the national Control the Bleed campaign. We’ve only just had the opportunity to share this properly — but it’s an important milestone worth highlighting.

At Sentinel Security & Consultancy Services, we are firmly committed to customer and public safety. As security professionals operating within the night-time economy, we understand that preparation and rapid response can make all the difference in a critical incident.

The bleed kit is fully registered and publicly accessible should it ever be needed — helping to keep the community safe by ensuring life-saving equipment is immediately available in those critical first moments.

This installation was made possible by Sharon Holland, campaigner for Her Name Was Chloe Holland, working in partnership with The Daniel Baird Foundation. Their continued work raises vital awareness around catastrophic bleeding and improves public access to life-saving equipment across communities.

We fully support initiatives that elevate safety standards across Portsmouth venues and demonstrate a shared commitment to protecting the public.

Preparedness isn’t optional — it’s professional responsibility.

A local mum and campaigner has donated a bleed control kit to Astoria nightclub as part of the “Control the Bleed” campaign, launched following the death of Daniel Baird.

Last weekend, members of the Sentinel Security & Consultancy Services team attended a powerful awareness session delivered by The Daniel Baird Foundation at The Astoria Nightclub, Portsmouth.

As door supervisors, our staff are often first on scene when incidents occur. Having the knowledge and confidence to manage catastrophic bleeding in those critical first few minutes can quite literally save lives.

This training reinforces something we strongly believe in at Sentinel — professional security isn’t just about presence, it’s about preparedness.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Daniel Baird Foundation for delivering such an important and impactful session, and to Sharon Holland, who campaigns locally for Her Name Was Chloe Holland, for arranging this invaluable training for our team. The engagement, realism and practical guidance provided were outstanding and greatly appreciated by everyone who attended. This training plays a vital role in strengthening our commitment to public safety across the night-time economy.

Last Saturday we delivered a powerful 🩸 awareness session at Astoria nightclub on behalf of Daniel Baird Foundation.

This session was created for door supervisors — the people who are often first on scene when an incident happens. The engagement in the room was fantastic, and it’s clear how committed these teams are to keeping people safe.

We truly believe every night-time venue should have access to bleed control training and publicly accessible bleed control kits. These simple skills and tools save lives.

We’ll keep pushing for government support so bleed control education becomes standard in schools, communities and venues across the UK.
