This is always one of my favorite times of year. The evening light starts to stretch out, the mornings are now that little bit brighter, the flowers are adding beautiful colours to our landscapes, but more importantly for me the wildlife gets more active, giving more opportunities to watch or photograph our amazing creatures big and small.

Being only four weeks out from surgery I'm still a while away from lifting up cameras but I certainly intend to stretch my legs, get out for a walk, tuck myself away in the edge of a field and watch my local hares enjoying spring.

I would like to take the opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hopefully I will get my shoulder surgery done early in 2026 and I can get back out photographing and running workshops, but for now I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone for the continued support, as always it is hugely appreciated.

Enjoy the Christmas season and I look forward to seeing you all in 2026.

Always a privilege when these beautiful birds give you a nice flyby. One thing I've always told my clients is unless your trying to get a more environmental image of something then wait to take the shot.....there's no point in photographing something 5miles away, cropping it to death and expecting detail in the image.

Wildlife photography is about respect, understanding and patience......so wait, wait and wait again.

For many nature becomes a way of therapy, an escape from the stresses of life where nothing matters other than to watch and enjoy the natural world unfold and the beauties it holds.

Everyone will have favourite subjects to spend time with but for me there's nothing more beautiful than watching the majestic barn owl quartering a field. I love all wildlife and of course I love to watch hares box and grebes dance but a barn owl gives me a real sense of inner peace where time has no meaning and I think about nothing other than what's in front of me.

Never forgot the importance of finding time to spend with nature, whether that's watching your favorite wildlife or just sitting in a woods with your eyes shut listening to natures song.....a moment with nature is never a wasted one.

Well thats got to be the warmest 2 day event ive ever done, but still an absolute cracker. A huge thank you to everyone who came over and stopped by for a chat or to purchase something, and another big thank you goes out to those that dropped me some refreshing drinks in or a cheeky ice-cream ;)

I never take sales for granted and I always see it as a privilege and an honour to have so many of my images in so many people's houses 🙏

It's been a busy few days getting clients orders sorted and the last of the framed prints ready for next weekend at Clare Priory. If you are planning on visiting over the weekend then make sure you pop on over to say hello and maybe treat yourself or someone else to something special. I shall be located at the front outside Marquee A, on the left as you arrive from the main shuttle bus.

Its been a busy week with clients and the little owls, im enjoying a well earned day off today before it all starts over again tomorrow.

A big thank you to all of this weeks clients who were treated to some fantastic sessions with plenty of opportunities to go home with memory cards full of cracking images.

I'm pleased to say that next month I shall be returning to Clare Priory Craft Fair on the 12th & 13th July.....as always...
