😍Last night Lucy & Jo pulled out all the stops The Anthologist Manchester

🤝For a delicious evening for event professionals to connect , re connect and see the venue

🍸Drinks at 5.30pm sharp with HACIEN TEQUILA
Mixing up the freshest margaritas and you could have a go yourself at the mixo station set up

🍢An array of mouth watering delights from Head Chef Marcus & the Kitchen team ( Marcus thanks every day that I’m not in charge of pre orders anymore 😅😉)

🍴Then we sat down for a sumptuous 3 course bespoke menu from Creamy burrata , crispy Perfect Milanese down to a crowd pleasing trio of desserts 🍮

As most you know I was part of Drake & Morgans D&M | London Cocktail Bars journey of launching in Manchester and I can honestly say the site still looks brand new , a warm welcoming team, great food & specials and a place you feel comfortable visiting day to night with all the little touches D&M is known and famous for

It was great to also catch up with the lovely Emma from D&M head of group sales in London is been too long and all my event professional faves

My tip of the day? Be consistent! And follow up

🤝When I’m working with Hospitality business owners, venues and also training & developing Business Development Managers

You wouldn’t believe how many of them just try things once! No follow up , no review or looking how to improve.

Some examples …

📧When you opened you reached out to businesses, nearby residents and followers about your launch.

❓Did you do it again after opening?

💰So many drop off doing this and it’s so important and leads to customer retention and adds new customers too

💸I always say outreach is not always the funnest thing to do but it adds so much in revenue ! It’s essential to any business but when I go into sites it’s just reactive work and inbound , no one wants to do outbound!

📧For example In just two emails out to different companies in out reach , I generated 8k of revenue ,for one of my clients venues in Stockport this year.

📱You sign up to the food discount apps , are you reviewing how they are performing? The covers & revenue generated? Are you measuring its success?

💻You spend money on latest tech, crm Systems & mailer platform but do you use them ? None of its of any use regardless how good they are if you don’t use them it’s a waste of money.

🍾🍔Put an offer on , do you keep reviewing its success? Have you promoted the offer on various channels or just popped up a post and hoped for the best?

🔑Consistency is key

🤝You never know where your next lead or work opportunity come from and in last week I’ve had people reach out I either met years ago face to face on a site visit, on a zoom call in 2021 and other people in my network too, it’s amazing to be honest!

🙋🏻‍♀️So keep being you , absolutely you ! and focus on what you want to achieve and you may surprise yourself what comes your way

👏🏻I always loved this Tony Robbins quote as I listened to him daily on my commute in Manchester in my last salaried role before going freelance and setting up my business
“ where focus goes, energy flows, whatever you are focusing on grows”

👂Also don’t believe the hype or compare yourself to anyone else, it’s a waste of time “ comparison is the thief of joy”

👀I know where’s good to go, whoes the best from food , service, who fits your brief and budget ,I know the hospitality scene inside out and if places are as good as they make out on socials , if they have changed hands or ear marked to close etc. ( no one wants to lose booking , money or deposits ) all of this matters when selecting the perfect venue 👏🏻( I have the inside track 😉)
