Question for conservators: does exposure to the air accelerate this process? ie would exhibition in humidity and light controlled conditions still cause issues because the book is open?

Looking forward the second day of and the sun is shining! A highlight yesterday for me was a visit from a fellow book conservator in Sheffield! We had so much to catch up on. She'll be running binding classes at later this year, so watch that space for when booking becomes available!
