Faye Baker, Painter and Decorator Painting and decorating I am a reliable and considerate painter and decorator for domestic properties.

I used to paint scenery for West End shows and theatres across the country but stopped to raise a young family. The combination of these two very different types of painting has enabled me to develop a range of skills and a fantastic eye for detail and quality, making my work second to none and resulting in a loyal and satisfied client list. I enjoy watching the transformation from a tired room or

piece of furniture into a fresh and vibrant one and believe, no matter how neglected, there is always an opportunity to rejuvenate. I offer a complete painting and decorating service on any scale. Based around East Sussex, I am fully insured and always happy to help.

You never know what's going to happen when removing wallpaper. This time, the paper came off very easily but it also took most of the paint, and not enough to patch back in! Alot of elbow grease, various products and good music later and I got it back to a lovely smooth surface to paint again.

Although the wallpaper was lovely (another William Morris) it was too dark for a north facing room and made everything feel a little cold and small.

A lot of issues with with this room!
*water damage all over the place after the Velux windows were installed wrong
*large gaps around the windows filled with old
foam that was never finished off properly
*a generous application of caulk applied everywhere
*paint that was applied very thickly

I added wooden trim to all the edges of the Velux windows to bridge the gap and allow for heat differences, doesn't look like much in the photos but made a massive difference to how it looks.
