The Catalogue for our Toy & Transport Auction on 16th April at 9.30am is now online at www.watsonsauctioneers.co.uk with catalogue and live bidding available at www.easyliveauction.com and www.the-saleroom.com Viewing is Monday 13th, Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th April from 9am until 5pm and Day of Sale 8am until 9.30am although attendance is very welcome. This auction includes a quantity of items that were owned and/or built by Terry Bullingham. Highly respected amongst his group of Meccano modelling friends, Terry was a Chief Petty Officer in the Royal Navel Fleet Air Arm. Aged 37 he lost his sight totally and instantly when a 1000lb bomb hit HMS Antrim during the Falklands War. Trained as an Electrical Aircraft Engineer he wanted a hobby, settling on Meccano. He was very independent and only checked the colours with his wife to make sure a rogue one had not crept into his model. Terry's final piece was a Fairey Swordfish plane which is currently displayed at Blind Veterans UK to hopefully inspire others
