Continuing its virtualisation strategy, Calrec has integrated its ImPulseV virtualised DSP software with NEP Platform, bringing its scalable audio processing capabilities to NEP Group, Inc.'s growing software ecosystem and giving customers more freedom of choice. NEP Platform provides the orchestration layer that brings trusted software applications together in a unified software-defined environment, enabling production resources to be rapidly deployed and scaled as requirements evolve.

Henry Goodman, Calrec's Director of Product Management, says:

“Pairing the power of NEP’s software orchestration platform with Calrec’s ImPulseV allows NEP to offer customers virtualised audio production environments and services that best fit the needs of each production. The ability to add temporary virtualised processing resources means broadcasters can scale to support their biggest events without significant up-front hardware investment.

RaceTech Media is reaching for the stars with Galileo, its biggest OB truck to date!

Designed for major horse racing fixtures, while retaining the flexibility to support other sports and live events, Galileo is a new 4K-ready, flexible and expandable unit featuring three multifunctional production spaces, two sound suites, 20+ camera capability, and two Calrec consoles - 24-fader and 36-fader Argo M consoles at the heart of its audio setup.

The two sound suites can be combined or separated, depending on the needs of each production, giving operators the flexibility required for today’s complex live workflows.

It’s fantastic to see Calrec technology supporting the next generation of outside broadcast. Built by Spanish Coachbuilder - Tecnove SL, alongside UK-based Systems Integrator - Megahertz Ltd, Galileo also features technology from Sony, Ross Video, TSL, RTS Intercom Systems and Vislink.

🍌⚾ From flaming bats to full-remote workflows, Banana Ball is rewriting the rules of live sports entertainment, and Banana Ball TV is building an audio workflow to match its ambition.

The Savannah Bananas have become one of the fastest-growing stories in sports entertainment. For its 2026 World Tour and new Championship League, Banana Ball TV (BTV) have deployed Calrec’s flexible, distributed infrastructure - Argo M consoles, Type R systems and True Control 2.0 to power scalable REMI broadcasts across two Savannah control rooms and field-based mobile units and flypacks.

With production spanning venues across the US, BTV needs an audio workflow as dynamic as the action on the field. Calrec’s technology combines the consistency of a centralised production environment with the flexibility of a hybrid approach, helping the team deliver consistent, simple-to-use audio workflows wherever the game goes.

“We want the technology to outpace production,” says Matt Webster. “It’s all about scale and simplicity, and Calrec allowed us to achieve this in our second generation of REMI workflows.
