Ideally applicant will have own transport but not critical for the right person.

Carpet is not light so you'll need a strong build to avoid personal injury.

As of today, our carpet recycling program goes live.
From now on, any Polypropylene carpet waste generated by us or delivered to us will be baled up and sent off to be recycled back into Polypropylene pellets for reuse!

At Wholesale Carpets and Flooring, we are going as green as our price list! (it's green!)

Introducing the South Coasts simplest way to dispose of your carpet waste. Simply bring your waste to us at Wholesale Carpets and Flooring in Hedge End, Southampton and we will bale it up into 350kg bales and send it off to one of two places.
Polypropylene carpet will be sent off to a specialist recycling plant who will recycle the carpet back down into PP pellets ready to be used again.
Other carpets and underlays will be sent off to a flooring incinerator where the carpets will be responsibly incinerated.

At Wholesale Carpets and Flooring, we've taken a groundbreaking step towards sustainability. Our foremost commitment is to recycle our own waste, spearheading a transformative change in the flooring trade. With a new cutting-edge compactor, we are tackling the environmental challenge posed by Polypropylene carpets, aiming to significantly reduce their contribution to landfills.

Our state-of-the-art compactor efficiently condenses Polypropylene waste into manageable bales, ready for transportation to a recycling plant. There, it undergoes a process of transformation back into polypropylene pellets, ready to be utilised in crafting brand new carpets. By implementing this innovative approach, we anticipate a monthly reduction of over 4 tonnes of Polypropylene carpets in landfills from just our own waste.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to recycle other fibres or underlay at present and so these will be sent to a specialist centre to be responsibly incinerated, reducing waste to landfill even further.

But we don't want to stop there. We're extending an invitation to local carpet fitters in Hedge End to join us in this eco-conscious mission.
