After working as a Dental Technician for 32 years in a Laboratory in Bolt
on, Lancashire I was made redundant. Today there aren't many jobs around for Crown & Bridge Technicians so after a couple of months wondering if I will ever get a job and signing on at the job centre every two weeks like millions of others I realised that I had a chance to change my life by starting my own business Engraving Glass using the same skills that I learned in the Dental Industry coupled with the Artistic abilities that have been with me since I could first pick up a pencil to draw. I love to design and engrave bespoke pieces for all sorts of occasions. Engraving the main Valley at Work Award for the Rossendale Business Awards, Goosnargh & Longridge Agricultural Society Show Presentation Pieces for the new show Presidents each year since 2014. I am now the official engraver of glassware for the famous Simpsons Golf Shop Ltd situated just next to the course in Carnoustie Scotland and have a small display of crystal in the Carnoustie Golf Hotel on the Course itself with work on sale in the Simpsons Heritage Lounge situated in the Sofitel Zhongshan 5 Star Golf Resort, Nanjing, China. I also specialise in engraving glass for all of you who love walking and the Great Outdoors! From the Munros of Scotland to the Coastal walks of Cornwall, whether it's something that has taken a lot of hard work, time, money, planning and dedication to achieve like The Coast to Coast walks, The Three Peaks Challenges or just bagging a favourite Peak.
