Serviced the fire extinguishers at the main bakery of The Makers Cornwall in Hayle. What a welcome! We came away with amazing pasties AND cookies 😳. Then coincidentally we worked a few doors up from their shop in St Ives. A huge thanks to them. 😁🍰

The fire in Helston last month reminds us that although not an every day occurrence, fires happen and wreck lives.

By law:

Every business should have a written Fire Risk Assessment..

Every holiday let, including managed lets and Airbnbs require a Fire Risk Assessment..

Workers in businesses who have fire safety responsibilities need fire training..

Fire equipment should be suitable and sufficient for the premises, and serviced annually by a competent person..

Why pay the big, so called 'local' fire safety companies big money? 2 of the main ones were taken over by national companies in last few years and prices rose considerably showing no loyalty for local customers. But people still stay with them!!

I'm not brave enough to name and shame yet but I've seen some disgusting invoices and I hate us little people being taken advantage of when a lot presume because it's fire safety it has to cost the earth. It doesn't!

Thank you to my newest customers:
Mark n Melanie at Alfords Carpets and Flooring gave me a nice welcome when I went to service their fire extinguishers. I also saved them exactly a 1/3 off their last bill, and that's only with 3 extinguishers. 👌🔥Keep it local.

Invited to help The bizzy bees cleaning services. Didn't know where they were?..... Helston Business Park behind The Maytree, which I have to say, I did not know existed. Installed the appropriate fire extinguishers and signs to help make Gemma, the owner compliant.

Then.... Popped next door to drop a card in Penny's Pies. Wow! Took a while to choose but came out with my favourite Chicken n Mushroom.

2 great local businesses. Go and take a look. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Unless I'm the only person in Helston who didn't know they were there? Good luck both.. Sorry no pictures of nice white clean fresh laundry 😂
