We’ve recently completed an installation in Plymouth, and our customer left us exactly the kind of review every team loves to receive 💚:

🔹 A Vaillant air source heat pump
🔹 A new hot-water cylinder and controls
🔹 Two Panasonic RAC Solo Air-conditioning units

What makes this review particularly pleasing is that the customer’s positive experience continued throughout the entire journey, from dealing with Sophia, Amelia, Lauren and Andrew in the office, through to Greg completing the plumbing and Adam carrying out the electrical work and commissioning on site.

A shoutout to young Nick Medlin, our newest plumbing installer, who assisted Max M on this install and even remembered to send us some photos! 📸

A straightforward job:

🔹 2 × latest-generation 12kW three-phase Vaillant aroTHERM plus heat pumps in cascade
🔹 Replacing a problematic ground-source system
🔹 Heating a five-bedroom home across three floors of underfloor heating
🔹 New 400L cylinder, 500L buffer and an indoor swimming-pool heating zone

Only joking! Nick has been with GreenGenUK for 15 years and is one of our most experienced heat pump installers!

In reality, this has been a demanding project, complicated by issues with the existing system and delivery delays.

Our Electrical Manager, Ben B, also played a vital role in the three-phase installation and integrating the new controls.

A huge thank you to our customer for being so reasonable and understanding throughout.

Commissioning today, will be followed by a check-in next week to ensure everything is performing as it should.

🎉 Finished and commissioned ✅

A couple of weeks ago we shared this installation while it was still in progress so here is the finished product!

The completed installation includes:
✅ 2 × Mitsubishi Ecodan 8.5kW R290 air source heat pumps operating as a cascaded system.
✅ 400L Telford unvented hot water cylinder.
✅ Purpose-designed hydraulic system with buffer vessel, low-loss header and upgraded cold water arrangement.

☀️ 11.4kWp Solar PV using 24 × AIKO Gen 3 all-black modules
🔋 2 × Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries with backup capability.

The result is a highly efficient, future-ready energy system designed to provide reliable heating, hot water and electricity while dramatically reducing running costs and carbon emissions.

Every pipe, valve and cable has been carefully planned by Ali and Adam to create a system that's as serviceable as it is impressive 👏

🔥 Work in progress. One plant room. One complete renewable energy solution.

Our team have been making great progress on this installation near Cullompton, Devon, where the customer is investing in a fully integrated low-carbon energy system.

This project includes:
✅ 2 × Mitsubishi Ecodan 8.5kW R290 air source heat pumps operating as a cascaded system for improved efficiency and resilience.
✅ A 400L Telford unvented hot water cylinder to provide plenty of stored hot water for the property.
✅ A completely upgraded cold water arrangement, including new pressure vessels, ensuring the system performs exactly as it should.

⚡ And that's just the heating...The property is also receiving:

☀️ 11.4kWp of solar PV, using 24 × AIKO 475W Gen 3 All Black modules.
🔋 2 × Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries, allowing the customer to maximise self-consumption, reduce grid reliance and provide backup capability.

🫡🧑‍🔧 Shout out Ali and Adam, who have been leading the installation. Plant rooms like this require careful planning, tidy pipework and attention to detail, and it's coming together brilliantly.

⚡ Energy independence when it matters most.

After being left without power for an extended period during this year's storms, this homeowner near Helford, Cornwall decided it was time to future-proof their home.

Their existing single-phase battery system has now been upgraded to a Sigenergy 20kW three-phase hybrid inverter with 54kWh of battery storage and full three-phase backup.

Now, if the grid goes down:
✅ Automatic backup power within seconds.
✅ Three-phase supplies remain operational.
✅ Existing solar continues charging the batteries during daylight, helping keep the home powered for extended outages.

The result is a system that not only provides genuine resilience but also increases self-consumption from the existing 20.67kWp solar PV system, reducing reliance on the grid all year round.

These larger, more technically demanding installations require careful planning and attention to detail, and this is another great example of our electrician Adam taking a complex three-phase system completely in his stride.
