Cyw Hapus Free Range Eggs is an established business supplying free range eggs to local shops, bakeries, hotels and restaurants. Our farm is located in the village of Heol Y Cyw, Bridgend. Cyw Hapus Free Range Eggs is focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction - we will do everything we can to meet your expectations.

We are Hiring!
We are looking for a part time Poultry Assistant.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in poultry and animal welfare and have a good level of general physical fitness. This is an ideal role for someone who is friendly, with a 'can do' attitude.

The role involves looking after our hens, packing and grading eggs as well as providing a front of house service to our customers.

Knowledge of poultry or animal care is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

Weekday hours are 7am - 12.30pm.

Christmas and New Year Deliveries
As usual there will be some changes to deliveries during Christmas week and New Year week.

Coity, Pencoed, Brackla deliveries will be Sunday 20th then as normal the following week Tuesday 29th December.

Broadlands deliveries will be a day earlier for two weeks Wednesday 23rd and Wednesday 30th December

Cefn Glas, Bryntirion, Park Street area of Bridgend including Parkfields Road & Merthyr Mawr Road Wednesday 23rd and then as normal on 31st December

Penarth deliveries will be a day earlier for two weeks on 23rd and 30th December.

Heol y Cyw - streets that Jack delivers to - will also be a day earlier for two weeks on 23rd and 30th December.

Mary’s customers ( living in areas of Sarn and Tondu and Heol y Cyw) will receive deliveries on Thursday 24th but return to normal the following week.

Exiting Times!
We are expanding our domestic delivery service. If you live in Broadlands, Brackla, Bryntirion, Cefn Glas, Parc Derwen, Pencoed, Sarn or Tondu and you would like fresh free range eggs delivered to your door at a frequency to suit you, get in touch.
£1.30 for a box of 6 or £5.50 for a tray of 30.
No extra charges for delivery.

One of the greatest pleasures of local food is the increased likelihood of finding unusual ingredients that you won’t find elsewhere. Last week we told you about our pullet eggs that are on now sale for 🎉 £2 for a tray of 30 🎉and we still have some available.

Pullet eggs are the first eggs laid by hens. These young hens are just getting into their laying stride meaning the eggs are noticeably smaller than the usual eggs we supply. And that’s where the beauty in them lies - not only are they good value for money but they are they are delicious!

Our chefs can’t get enough of pullet eggs because of their brightly coloured yolks and a richness that eggs from older hens don’t have. Pullet eggs hold together in the pan so are amazing for poaching and frying. The smaller size lasts for about 4 weeks before they get bigger. They are not around for long so why don’t you either change your regular order or if you live in one of our delivery areas, order some this week to try them out?

We are looking for an Electrician / Electrical Engineer who can help us fix the issues we are having with our nest box, limit switches and feeding timers in one of sheds. The person must like birds and not be afraid of chickens. If you or you know of anyone who could help we would be delighted to hear from them.

Morning everyone
We just wanted to let you know that we are continuing to have some problems with our cardboard box supplier. We are now running out of our usual blue boxes and cannot get a further supply for the foreseeable future. So instead we have had to buy in what we can. Over the coming weeks and possibly months our eggs will be delivered to you in one of two box styles - a recycled plastic container (made from 100% recycled bottles) for 6 eggs or a cardboard box for 12 eggs which has a preprinted picture and label. We are aware that lots of suppliers are having to use the cardboard dozen box style at the moment for the same reasons as us and that these are being used by supermarkets. When you receive our eggs our usual details will be inside the box. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We really hope we can re-establish our blue box supply before the end of the year.
