Our IT Services colleagues had a lovely surprise at the Sunrise Software User Group last month. They were presented with the Rise & Shine Award for outstanding transformation, measurable improvement and continued progress towards service excellence.

Congratulations to all the winners at last night's Hereford Times Community Awards. Although we didn't come away with an award this time, we were proud to be part of such an inspiring evening.

It was wonderful to see so many of our customers and the community organisations we support recognised for the difference they make every day. Lee's Place, Samurai Central Dojo, Belmont Wanderers Football Club, Ryeland Surgery, Marches Family Network.

Restart a Heart is a nationwide initiative from Resuscitation Council UK which aims to increase the number of people surviving out-of-hospital cardiac arrests by helping more people learn CPR.

Well done to our Study Progamme students who took part in Pyjamarama for Children with Cancer UK. The students wore their PJs to classes and raised £71 for this wonderful charity, which supports families and childhood cancer research.

Herefordshire Safeguarding Boards and Partnerships are running a series of online events to mark Safeguarding Adults Week.

Hoople Care Quality Manager, Tammy Moss, and Ruth Goldwater from Herefordshire Council are delivering the first event of the series on Monday 6 November. The webinar, titled ‘Listening & Person-Centred Conversations’, looks at how curiosity, empathy, clear communication and attention to behaviour can help people feel heard, involved and understood in everyday, professional and safeguarding-related situations.
