The other week we had the honour of looking after a truly special lady. The family decided to have the service and wake at Greenacres Epping Park a place with beautiful natural spaces, in the heart of a woodland, it really is a unique and meaningful place to say farewell.

We would like to thank the whole team at Greenacres Epping for all your continual kind work and hospitality shown to us and most importantly to bereaved families at such a difficult time.

The other week, we had the honour of fulfilling the final wishes of a loved one at St John the Baptist Church in Barnet, followed by a private committal.

A full service in a place of worship offers a spacious, traditional, and heartfelt farewell—allowing family and friends to gather, reflect, and say goodbye in peace, before a more private committal.

It’s a beautiful way to honour a life, surrounded by community and ceremony.

A little while ago, we had the honour of looking after and arranging a truly memorable farewell for a much-loved member of the biking community.

His final journey was led by a striking Harley Davidson hearse, accompanied by over 30 fellow bikers — close friends and members of his riding community — all there to ride with him one last time to Woollensbrook Crematorium.

It was a powerful and moving tribute, and we were privileged to play a part in giving him the send-off he truly deserved.

Into the freedom of the wind and sunshine we let you go....

One last final fitting journey.....in true free biker spirit today. Along with a lovely motorcyle cortege of family and friends following on the way to us. A very unique goodbye for a much loved, passionate motorbike gentleman. 🏍

We just thought you might want to take a look at this beautiful garland that was hand fixed by the daughter of the deceased. We were able to provide the exact external measurements so that it fit perfectly woven onto one of our Oval Iris Wicker Coffins.

While this time it was provided by the family - our wonderful florist Sioned and her team regularly replicate this for our coffins. Just another way to transform your loved one’s coffin into something truly unique. 💐🥀🪷

Recently we had the privilege of caring for a lifelong Spurs fan, whose family chose our venue-based direct cremation option.

This unique service allows a farewell to take place at a venue of your choice, offering a more personal and tailored setting away from the crematorium. Loved ones can say their goodbyes in their own time, with the dignified return of the ashes a few days later.

It’s just one of the ways we are supporting families, ensuring a meaningful goodbye remains accessible to all.

We had the honour of caring for a lifelong lorry driver last week. We wanted to share some of the beautiful flowers arranged in memory of this remarkable man, cherished by many.

Small details, like adding the ‘Caution Air Brakes’ sign - once used by drivers in the 1970’s to alert others to the sudden stops of heavy lorries - brought smiles to the faces of his loved ones on the day.

On Wednesday 24th July, West & Sons jumped from a plane to raise money for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance! Despite being such short notice we were blessed to have so many of you donate for our chosen charity. With your support we managed to raise £1,050, smashing our £500 target!
