Attendance Allowance is for anyone over 66 who needs help with personal care or supervision because of a physical or mental health condition. It does not matter how long you have lived in Europe, whether your health condition is visible and it is not means tested.

Lower rate: £76.70 per week
Higher rate: £114.60 per week

This is one of our favourite kinds of story.

Not because of the numbers, though helping one family claim over £12,000 a year they were not receiving is something we are genuinely proud of. But because of what sits behind it.

A son, back in the UK, doing everything he could to make sure his parents were okay from a distance. That is not a small thing. That worry is real and it is heavy and most people carrying it have no idea that one phone call could make a significant difference.
