A Oven repair in Ellesmere Port from yesterday. The oven had been cleaned in November, they had used a cheap spray on oven cleaner, these are really damaging for the inside, any residue left behind will rot the metal components including the elements.
I replaced the main fan element and wiped out a large pile of rust from inside the oven.

This Hotpoint Forno built in oven had a faulty grill element. The customer had been using tin foil under the grill pan to keep the grill clean. The foil will reflect the heat back up to the element causing it to overheat and warp.
We replaced the element and advised that the customer use a teflon sheet instead of tin foil.

This IKEA single oven had stopped heating on the oven and grill settings. Both elements had failed, the fan element was still available but the grill was very expensive and not cost-effective to replace.
We suggested to the customer that we could fit a different grill element from a Bosch oven that was the same power as the original element and rescue the oven.
All repairs come with a 12-month guarantee on parts and labour.

Rangemaster Cooker we repaired in Bebington.
We advised the customer to stop using tin foil on her grill pan, the foil reflects the heat back up to the elements and causes the elements to warp, effectively cooking the elements.
We fitted two new elements which come with a 12 months guarantee.

A customer in Ellesmere Port had a problem with an 'Electriq' fan oven, the fan was running but the oven was not heating up.
Unfortunately, the oven was outside of the warranty period so they called Wirral Electric Cooker Repairs.
We asked for the manufacturer, type of cooker or oven and a description of the fault. From those details, we were able to give the customer a price for the repair.
We called the customer 30 minutes before we arrived.
The oven was repaired and while testing the oven up to 200oC operation the customer paid via a bank transfer while we emailed them their receipt and 12-month guarantee.

The owner was putting tin foil on the grill pan to make it easy to clean. Tin foil will reflect the heat back to the element and cause it to overheat.
Don't put tin foil on your grill pan.
