Throwback Thursday! This is how we used to extract timber from woodlands before we had a tractor and winch! This method of snigging (horse logging) would be good for woodlands with poor access for machines or if they are on a very steep slope. Good for anyone wishing to reduce their carbon hoofprint!

We have been delivering logs with a trailer this last week or so, and this is why- Saul is rebuilding the back of the pick up truck from scratch! And doing so much needed painting on the cab and wheels, hoping to have her on the road next week. 🤞🏻
