Today we have our good friend, the very talented Jonny Franklin of opus_signs doing some traditional hand sign writing on a job we have been working on for Newcastle Preparatory School in Jesmond.

Jonny’s work alongside our teams fantastic craftsmanship making the oak structure and cedar shingle roof really compliment each other.

The sign also contains a beautiful stained glass piece made by the brilliant Maralyn O'Keefe of maralyn_okeefe_stainedglass / theglassandartgallery194 based in Consett.

This job is work in progress. Watch this space early next week for the finished result 👌🏻

Wrapping up 2024 with an actual wrap…

marcusbyrondesign asked us to re-wrap this panel with updated graphics and also produce new lectern legs for it using recycled plastic lumber which has great eco-credentials and longevity.

A week or so ago our team were asked by a returning customer, for whom we had made a memorial bench recently, if we could refresh another existing memorial bench, which was looking tired having been exposed to the elements and people sitting on it for a good number of years.

With new oak planks and an anoprinted aluminium plaque it now looks good as new and should withstand another number of years of weathering and sitting 👍🏻
