Another Job bossed off this year recently a bit further away from our local area....

The customer asked us to come and take a look at amending some excisting steps. (Making them more accessible and easy to use).

We installed a new sleeper wall.( Replacing a deteriorating concrete block wall).
Then we started linking 2 raised decking areas into one level.

Then worked out what levels and depth the new steps would be and started forming these with sleepers steps (adding strength and stability) and then incorporated decking for the treads of the steps.

We added a hand rail to make it easy to get up and for safety and leaving the client enough room to add glass at a later date.

A job completed in High Lane Start of the Year.
This Job intailed a large rear garden design.

This Involved digging out by hand 10 ton of muck away.Then installing sleeper retaining walls incorporating 3 sets of sleeper steps, ( 2 steps offering access to lower garden the other steps offering access to the house)

Then brought in 40 ton of type 1 mot (compacted with wacker plate) to the appropriate levels.
Made a raised sleeper bed then we could lay our 60 square meters of paving for the new patio area.

We also brought in some new rockery stone to redesign the exciting pond area.

Finish off working out the garden with a new cobbled edge path with indian stone down the side of the house.

Before and After of a job we completed in Marple.

This was a Insurance job of a drain that had collapsed and the client was unable to use the downstairs toilet.

First job was to get a camera survey done to assess what the issue was.

So the job involved pulling up part of the existing driveway,digging down to the collapsed clay drain removing the clay drain and replacing with new 100mm plastic underground pipe all waste removed of site by us no need for a skip.

Then backfilling with pea gravel around the drain and then compacted mot type 1 to fill the trench back in to put the existing drive back to normal.

Client was happy because the elderly couple could use the downstairs toilet more conveniently.

Be able to set a job out from start to finish.

Requirements:

Proven experience in landscaping/Groundworker

Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions

Reliable, punctual, and a team player

Full UK driving licence

A recent job we have just completed in Marple
Making a concrete base for a shed.

First job was to hand dig and clear the area then we made a sleeper retaining wall.Filled the area with type 1 mot and wackered down, then poured 150mm concrete to finish off the base ready for the shed to go on.

Hi Everyone
We havent been posting for a few weeks as we have just been so busy.
Will be updating the website in next few days with jobs we have completed and ongoing.

We have just finished a few clearing jobs one in Whaley Bridge we have done and one in newtown disley clearing and removing the greenhouse and everything that was in it ready for a summer house to be installed.

Can you remember the Garden we cleared for a customer in August...

Well we went back for part 2 when the customer was ready.

The customer wanted a low maintenance garden with a new path to get to the bottom of the garden, where he is going to have a chicken coop with a sleeper bed and have the whole area covered with play bark with a membrane to stop any weeds getting though.

Concrete base staying for a new shed to be installed.

We also cut back the conifers and gave them a tidy up for his neighbour at the same time.

Another job ticked off and another happy client!

A recent project we've completed in December 2025.

On this project we were approached by the client to remediate a faulty drain and install a new patio area.

Another hard access job digging out with buckets 16 ton tuck off site.

The faulty drain!

The existing drain literally went nowhere! It was installed as a land drain to take away any surplus rain water but as it had nowhere to escape to it ended up gathering water towards the bottom of the property potentially causing flooding issues!
We amended this by installing a new perforated length of 100mm drainage pipe which continued past the building (with appropriate fall) and into a very large flower bed.
The pipe was dug into the ground and encased in 10mm clean gravel and covered back over with decorative golden gravel.

Installing a new patio area.

The client asked us if we could install a new patio at the bottom of the garden.
With the garden dropping off very steeply this proved to be challenging at times as everything we dug out had to be carted up hill and all new materials had to be brought down!
After marking the area out we began by digging out, we hit clay! (Which with the weather being wet was a difficult task!)
After we'd dug out we stoned the area up with type 1 mot and compacted it with a wacker plate. (This being a solid base for our paving)
The client had opted to go for 'dakota Black' indian paving to match in with existing patio areas.
As the area was set into a banking we had to retain it. We did this with timber sleepers, creating a nice snug seating area.

Another job ticked off and another happy client! Onwards and upwards!

Thankyou to all new and returning customers this year. Its been a great year of work for us at High Peak Landscape Solutions & Garden Services . BEFORE AND AFTER
Previous rotten sleeper bed made out of 4x1Timber which wasnt going to last and would have become brittle, we discussed options with the customer what they would like and decided to upgrade using a uc4 sleepers which will now last years and looks more stylish.

Another project weve recently completed in Marple.
This one consisted a new bigger patio,pond,fence and a new drain.

BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES.
Take a look at the old patio that wasnt layed correctly and was layed on a dot and dab base with 6mm chippings!!!

We started by setting out the area that was to be paved and digging it out to a suitable depth (150mm MOT base plus the depth of the flag and a bed)
We then brought 5ton of MOT into the paved area, levelled it out and compacted it with a heavy duty wacker plate. (This will be the base that we lay our paving stones onto)
The clients opted to go with 900x600 auturm brown (a tough and durable product that blended in nicely with the surrounding garden area) which we then laid onto the base.
We were asked to incorporate a curving radius on the patio, which we shaped and cut out carefully after the paving had been installed.
The clients also asked us to incorporate a cobble edged border to the patio which we did using indian stone cobbles.

Finally finishing off with a full clean and all the paving jointed with a two part epoxy jointing compound from Titan.

Another job ticked off and another happy client! Onwards and upwards!
