Another great session at Yorke Mead Primary School this afternoon meeting the children in Yr.1.
Zorro, the Black Headed Python, pictured here, is one of the many animals the children were introduced to!

Did you know the Black Headed python’s dark head acts like a natural heat absorber. Because black absorbs sunlight quickly, the snake can warm up by exposing just its head while keeping the rest of its body safely hidden in shade or a burrow. This helps it reach the right body temperature to move and hunt without overheating or risking being seen by predators! How cool!

We had another brilliant day spent at the Roald Dahl Museum during half term. We ran a number of sessions throughout the day and met so many enthusiastic families.

We had our fourth visit to St.John Fisher Primary School last Friday and it was a pleasure as usual.
The children met and learnt about a variety of invertebrates 🪳amphibians 🐸 and reptiles 🦎

This morning was spent with the children of Manor Farm Primary School. The children were introduced to various animals including our beautiful Pueblan Milk Snake Frida pictured here with one of the lovely members of staff 🐍

Moving into the new season and looking back at a few of the amazing events we were able to take part in this summer 🌞
It’s always lovely to hold events outdoors and with the decent weather we had, we managed this on many occasions.

🍂We’re excited for what’s in store this autumn and have lots of events lined up for Halloween 🎃👻🕷️🕸️ Keep your eyes peeled! 👀

The Orchyd is an amazing charity that runs holiday camps for children with disabilities. We were lucky enough to be asked to provide the children camping at St.Martins Church in Ruislip with some evening entertainment!
Our Grandpa Keith (who is still a volunteer for the charity at 95!) was able to watch which was lovely as he’d never seen one of our events. Here he is (looking slightly nervous) with Mildred the giant African Millipede.

We have a fantastic event coming up that we’re really excited about!

On Thursday 25th July and Friday 26th July we’ll be set up at the Roald Dahl Museum in Great Missenden where we’ll be holding interactive Minibeast workshops throughout the day.

We’ll introduce guests to some fascinating creatures and look at some of the creepy crawlies from the novel James and the Giant Peach 🍑🐛
