Chris Pritchard along with his wife Gemma are the owners of Pritchard’s Martial Arts based in Caernarfon, Wales.
Chris is a renowned Martial Artist & Instructor who has been training in the Martial Arts for over 30 years. He holds 5th degree black belts in Shukokai Karate & Kickboxing and also a brown belt under Royce Gracie in Jiu Jitsu.

About Paul :

Paul started his martial arts training at the age of 13 at a local Tae Kwon Do class. At that first lesson he fell in love with the martial arts and poured his heart and soul into the training, graduating to black belt at 17 years old.

Whilst at university Paul started his own martial arts classes but had never imagined making a living, let alone running a full time centre one day.

After completing another degree course, a post graduate diploma he decided that he would follow in his brothers foot steps and opened a handful of kids karate classes around Leicester that were ran from local primary schools.

After a few years he realised that he had to learn more about the art of teaching and running martial arts classes if he was ever going to open a full time centre, so he learned all he could about teaching, motivation, leadership and advanced instructor skills spending many year on dozens of instructor and martial arts training courses.

The Leicester academy was opened in 1997 and is now the head quarters and central instructor training centre for the organisation, which has recently reached 1000 active members in training.

About Phill :
Phill started his martial arts journey in 1990, passing his black belt in Taekwondo in 1996 and in Ju Jitsu in 2005. In 2008 he left his IT career to coach martial arts full time. He opened his first full time venue in 2009 and a second in 2014. The full time centres currently have around 500 members and employ 12 members of staff.

In 2011 he went back to university to expand his knowledge of coaching children in martial arts. After completing both a BSc and MSc in Sports Coaching, he thought he was finished with the academic world. In 2021 he returned back to Leeds Beckett University to start a Doctorate in Professional Practice, looking specifically at the development and retention of children in martial arts.
