Last Friday the turtle trapped in a sea of plastic launched a campaign to introduce a recycled plastic rating so we know what recycled content is contained within packaging.

Why is only 9% of plastic recycled. Maybe it's the confusion caused by 28 different marks on what is, and what is not, recyclable....or maybe it's the ineptitude and indifference of govt and the main offenders namely manufacturers, coffee shops and supermarkets. We need to force change by insisting on the use of recycled plastics in packaging and this plastic rating system will help so please sign the petition.
