Happy Birthday to our wonderful Abbie.💙

A very valued member of Team Anchusa and, along with the rest of the ops team, helps to make sure everything is running smoothly.

As the great Harry Styles once said...

"You’re so golden."

Have the best day, Abbie! 🥳

September is World Alzheimer’s Month 💙

For us, it’s another opportunity to keep conversations about dementia going and help more people understand what living with dementia can really mean.

This month is going to be a busy one for Team Anchusa. We’ll be continuing our mission to create 500 Dementia Friends, sharing more dementia awareness and, on 27th September, taking part in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk. 👟

There are lots of ways to get involved too. You can join one of our free Dementia Friends sessions, support our Memory Walk fundraiser, or simply help us spread the word.

Because the more we talk about dementia, the more understanding we can create. 💙

Pinch, punch, first of the month 💙

In just 26 days, we’ll be taking on the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk to help raise vital funds for people affected by dementia.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far - we are so grateful.

There is still time to raise even more before we get our walking shoes on! 👟

If you’d like to support us, any donation, would be hugely appreciated. And if you can’t donate, sharing our fundraising page helps too. 💙

What does AI mean for Anchusa Care? 🤖

Recently, our office team took part in training looking at AI and how we can use it to make some of our day-to-day admin more efficient.

From saving time on everyday tasks to helping us work smarter behind the scenes, there are lots of ways technology can support the work we do.

And ultimately, less time spent on admin means more time to focus on what really matters — the people we care for.

Because while technology might change the way we work, there are some things it will never replace.

People caring for people. 💙

A warm welcome to our newest Anchusa team members. 💙

In training today, Cher has been helping our newest recruits get ready to head out and begin supporting people we care for.

There's plenty to learn when you first join the team, so these sessions are crucial to make sure everyone feels confident, prepared and ready before getting started.

Welcome to the team. 💙

Sometimes home care looks like choosing what's for dinner...

Supporting someone at home isn't only about personal care and medication. Our carers are there to help people we support live their lives with as much independence as possible.

It can be getting out of the house, a trip to the shops, a haircut or even helping to choose between butter chicken and chicken korma! 💙

Another voice from North Herts Police 💙

Following one of our Dementia Friends sessions with North Herts Police, we asked Stacey what she’d taken away from the training, and why greater dementia awareness matters in policing.

For police officers, recognising when someone may be living with dementia and understanding how best to communicate and support them can make a real difference.

A huge thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, and to everyone at North Herts Police who took part in the session.

Every Dementia Friend we create takes us another step closer to our goal of 500 Dementia Friends and a more dementia-friendly community. 💙

💧 Hydration delivery incoming! 💧

With ANOTHER heatwave upon us, our ops team has been out and about today making sure our carers have plenty of water to keep them hydrated while they’re on the road. 🥵

Our carers spend their days looking after others, so it’s important we look after them too. 💙

A huge thank you to the ops team for making the deliveries — and to all our carers working through the heat today. ☀️

We need your help!! 💙

This September, Team Anchusa is taking part in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk to help raise vital funds for people affected by dementia.

It’s a cause incredibly close to our hearts, and alongside our Dementia Friends 500 campaign, this is another way we can help make a difference.

If you can spare even £1, we’d be so grateful.

Every donation helps support people living with dementia and their families.

And if you can’t donate, a share would mean just as much. 💙
