Did you watch the match this weekend?
Whether you follow Football β½οΈ Rugby π or any other Sport you'll likely here someone say "I could do that" π«£
..maybe, you've even said that yourself!
Those professional men and women make it look so east right, so it must be...we think π€
But why?
We know deep down that it's not, just ask anyone (including myself) that has been foolosh enough to get off the couch and replicate what the see on the TV πΊ
Sure, the first few minutes into the match and your fine, you look like you know what your doing.
But as the demand of the game increases your soon well out of your comfort zone doubled over exhausted and ultimately embarrassed π³
..and you return to your couch defeated and probably injured π
To explain this phenomena, we use the saying:
Pratice makes Perfect
But this is misleading π΅βπ«
If practice made perfect then we'd all be oerfect..right?
Wrong, because simply practicing doesnt make you perfect.
But it does do something else...
..Practice makes Permenant!
When what we practice becomes permenant, that's when we make what we do look easy π
So, the next time you practice a skill or activity, forget about being perfect and aim for permenance.
To do this remember π
Consistent repetition creates the opportunity to refine what we do, so what we do becomes consistently repeatable βΊοΈ
What skill will you aim to refine and make more permanent this week?
