🌴 HOLIDAY NOTICE! 🌴

A massive thank you to all our customers for keeping us so busy this year — we genuinely appreciate every one of you! ❤️

After months of sharpening and servicing and generally not knowing what day it is 😂, we think it’s time to down tools and have a little break!

✂️ The Fine Edge workshop will be CLOSED from Tuesday 1st September until Saturday 12th September.

We’ll be back at it on Monday 14th September, hopefully slightly more rested😂

We’ll get all current work and orders sorted before we go, with anything that comes in while we’re away being dealt with when we return.

A very busy afternoon here at Fine Edge! ✂️📦

The new sharpening equipment that has arrived over the last couple of months has kept us exceptionally busy, and we’re currently working overtime to get everything processed, packaged, and returned as quickly as possible.

A little demo after receiving some new equipment to work with ✨

We’ve recently upgraded to a high-quality wet stone setup and a precision CBN plate, and the difference is clear.

One of the most common issues we see in scissor sharpening today is the loss of the ride line — a vital element in achieving smooth, precise cutting performance.

To help with accuracy, we also use a black Sharpie, as seen on the thinning blade in the demo. This helps us clearly highlight where more attention is needed and confirms when a precise, consistent ride line has been fully established before finishing.

With the right setup and technique, that ride line is preserved, delivering a true mirror finish and restoring effortless cutting action.

As you can see from the results… it’s cutting like new again ✂️
