Not a sight you ever want to see, but thanks to the member of public who called 999 and the quick response of Honiton fire department, the fire was contained and put out quickly before it could spread.

Chances of wildfire ignition have never been higher in England, the ground is so dry at the moment this could have been much worse, so stop & think before you throw that cigarette butt out the window or light that BBQ!

A very sad sight in the car park for Beech Walk woods again 😔

We have always allowed the public permissive access to park and walk this beautiful area of woodland on the Estate.

Unfortunately with the increased incidences of fly tipping in the car park, which falls upon us as landowners to deal with (an expensive and time consuming task) we have decided to temporarily close the car park whilst we deal with the clean up and the installation of CCTV. We are very sorry to do this as we know many responsible people do use this car park.

In the meantime we would encourage anyone who sees suspicious activity or witnesses any fly tipping to report this to East Devon District Council and the Combe Estate office. We are determined to prosecute any culprits.
