We are a family run poultry abattoir and cutting plant and we have one vacancy for permanent, part-time work on Wednesday and Friday each week. We are seeking hardworking, motivated applicants to enhance our team on a semi-automated processing line. Applicants will be expected to work with raw meat within the building in which animals are slaughtered. There are 7 different tasks on the line in total. Training will be provided for all roles including some knife work. Usual working hours are from 6am-3pm (7am-4pm Oct - Mar.) and the early starts require that you are fairly local and have your own transport.
The main processing jobs take place until 2pm on Wednesday & Friday with the rest of your time being spent in a temperature controlled environment.
Applicants must have a high standard of personal hygiene and be expected to adhere to the strict protocols that are part of all food production businesses.
PPE and training provided. You will be expected to work independently to a very high standard in a non-smoking environment. A full driving license would be an advantage.
