This week, our featured speaker at BNI was Sam Khan from Sam Khan Photography, and hearing him speak about his work was genuinely fascinating.

What really stood out was the artistry behind what he does, especially when it comes to live shows and events. Sam spoke about using lighting, movement, and shutter control to completely change the feel of an image, capturing energy, atmosphere, and moments that would otherwise be missed.

It’s not just photography…it’s understanding timing, creativity, and how to tell a story through a single shot.

Sam could be photographing live performances, events, weddings, branding content, or personal photography sessions - there’s real thought and skill behind every image he creates. You can tell Sam genuinely loves the craft, and that passion comes through in his work.

Our recent BNI featured speaker was Nicholas Coysh Osteopath, an experienced osteopath who helps people move more freely and feel more like themselves again. 🤩

Nick gave a brilliant talk on how osteopathy works and the difference it can make if you’re dealing with long-term aches and pains or just feeling a bit out of sync. From back pain to jaw tension, it turns out a lot of those niggles we put up with don’t need to be part of everyday life. 💡

It was a great reminder to look after the body that’s doing all the hard work behind the scenes, especially if you’re running a business.

Last week we took our BNI meeting on the road and spent the morning with our chapter charity, Horsham Matters. 🤩

It was a brilliant opportunity to look around the warehouse and food bank and hear from Kelvin about the work they do supporting people across our local community. It’s one thing to know about the charity, but quite another to see what happens behind the scenes and understand more about the difference that support makes.

A huge thank you to Kelvin and the Horsham Matters team for welcoming us, and to our very own Neil for cooking breakfast for everyone. Definitely above and beyond the usual networking breakfast! 😂

We’re really proud to support Horsham Matters as our chapter charity, so if you’re able to help them too, whether that’s through donations, fundraising, volunteering or simply spreading the word about what they do, please do.

Our latest featured speaker was Neil Monet from Will Instructions Limited, talking about the importance of having the right plans in place for the future.

Neil shared why Wills and LPAs aren’t just paperwork to get round to “one day”, they’re about making things easier for the people you care about most.

His approach, “Making it easier for the loved ones you leave behind,” really came through in the way he explained everything, straightforward, thoughtful, and focused on doing things properly.

A really valuable talk, and a good reminder for all of us.

This week’s featured speaker at BNI was our financial advisor, Al Shepherd. Al gave us a clear, no‑nonsense look at what good financial advice really means, it’s not just about how much you make, but how much you keep, how hard it works for you, and how it supports the generations to come. 💡

This week’s featured speaker was Darren from Remedy Consulting, and his case study on building restoration really stuck with us. 🧱

Darren walked us through how his team surveyed a block of flats, pinpointed the issues, and is now oversaw the work needed to turn it back into a place residents can feel proud to call home.

What stood out was the precision of the process, it’s not guesswork, it’s methodical, clear, and done with the people who live there in mind.

Our featured speaker was Andy from Shieldbuild, giving us a look at some of the incredible projects he and his team have completed.

Showing a beautifully designed extension, it was clear that Shieldbuild is all about quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Seeing the video really brought the project to life and showed the transformation that’s possible with the right team behind you.

It’s always fascinating hearing the stories behind the finished projects, and Andy’s presentation was a great reminder that building work is about so much more than bricks and mortar – it’s about creating spaces that people love living in.
