On tonight’s Team RISE Zoom we spent some time hearing from newly promoted people and top achievers in April. This wasn't people giving theory from the sidelines, it was people who have been out there having conversations, getting customers, growing their teams, building belief and making progress.

What really stood out was how ordinary most of the advice was.

- Start normal conversations.
- Be interested in people.
- Don’t get too emotionally attached when someone says no.
- Stay close to your team mates.
- Learn from others.
- Keep going when things feel a bit flat.

None of it sounds clever or flashy, which is why it works.

As a team, our April results were up over 100% compared to April 2025 in both customer gathering and recruiting. That's a big shift and the important bit for me is where that growth is coming from. It's not just one or two big characters carrying the room. It's lots of normal everyday people doing simple things consistently, supporting each other and starting to believe a bit more in what they have got their hands on.

One of the best points tonight was that this business isn't about magic scripts or a polished sales patter. It's about conversations around real life, bills, money, work, family and whether someone is open to looking at something that might help.

That is why I still think the Utility Warehouse opportunity is so practical for people in the UK who want to build an extra income alongside work, family and everything else life throws at them. With the low start-up cost, real services, proper support and a great team around you, you don't need to be loud, slick or naturally confident. You just need to be willing to learn, stay close and take the next simple step we show you.

Tonight was another reminder that progress usually comes from consistency and keeping it simple.

There’s a story doing the rounds again about Ruja Ignatova and the Ponzi scheme OneCoin.

It’s worth talking about, because people often use stories like this to have a pop at network marketing. But that misses the point.

OneCoin wasn’t a decent business that went wrong. It was fraud with no real product, no real blockchain and no real value. It was all just hype, pressure and people being sold the dream of getting rich before everyone else caught on. That’s not what proper direct sales is. Which is why there’s a $5 million reward for information leading to her capture and why she’s on the FBI’s most wanted list.

A genuine business has to create value for real customers, which is the bit people sometimes miss. Would someone buy the product or service if there was no income opportunity attached?

With Utility Warehouse, the answer is yes. People want help with normal household bills like broadband, mobiles, energy and insurance. They want good value, less hassle and someone they can actually speak to if they need help. That’s miles away from flogging pretend crypto and hoping the next person through the door pays for the last one.

The model isn’t the problem. The question is whether there’s a real product or service, with real customer value and proper transparency. If there is, direct sales can be a brilliant way to build something. If there isn’t, it’s not a business, it’s just a con with a compensation plan.

Funny how a coffee table can sum up so much eh!

In no particular order mine has on or around it:

- personal development books I’m reading
- a money plant
- a gimble for recording TikTok videos
- a massage gun
- a foam roller
- a protein smoothie with banana and blueberries
- a black coffee

What does your coffee table say about you?

“Don’t wake up in five years time and realise you were standing next to something big and still let it pass you by”

That line at the conference I was at today for my business really hit home.

It wasn’t just because it was a clever line. It was because of the impact and the meaning behind it.

Lots of people don’t miss things because they are lazy or incapable. They often miss them because they hang back for too long.

They think they need to feel ready first. Or they want more proof. Or they want less risk, more clarity or a guarantee it will work before they take a proper look at it.

Life doesn’t really work like that, does it? The vast majority of the worthwhile things I’ve seen people build started with a decision, not with certainty.

A decision to take a proper look. A decision to stop dismissing things too quickly. A decision to just do something instead of thinking about it.

That applies to business and money and it also applies to life generally. Sometimes the thing that changes your direction doesn’t look dramatic when it first shows up. It just looks a bit different to what you’re used to. A bit unfamiliar, maybe. Sometimes even easy to brush off.

Then a few years later you look back and realise it was a much bigger opportunity then you thought it was at the time.

That’s where the danger lies. Not in always saying no, but sometimes in just never really looking properly.

What have you seen that might deserve a closer look than you’ve given it so far?

This isn’t an easy money post. It’s a fast-start filter. If someone is willing to move, speak to people, hear a few no’s and stay coachable, there’s a real chance to build early momentum quite quickly.

Lovely way to start the day 😎🫧

The sky is blue, the coffee is hot and the water is hot and bubbling in the tub. This is how mornings should start and it is for me most days.

This is part of my daily routine as often as it possibly can be. It puts me in a great mindset, ready for the day. When I start a day like this I know it’s going to be a good one. Hope you have a great day too 🤩
