Team Bonding MAXIMised!
“Team-building” or “team bonding” are words which in the recent years have become buzzwords. At Maxim we realise the importance of these team-building exercises, our China Office (NMGT) recently took a 3 day trip to the Huangshan City.
By taking our NMGT team, out of the office, it helps to eliminate distractions, break down both political and personal barriers, but most importantly HAVE FUN. Here at Maxim we are are a strong team, in both our UK & China Offices, in order for our business to operate effectively, communication is a vital skill; team-building exercises like this one will help to develop and bond that result.
During April, (2015) 17th to 19th Maxim’s NMGT General Manager, Bolon Wu took his team for a 3 day trip to the Huangshan City, located in South Anhui Province (Eastern China).
The area is well known for its scenery, sunsets, peculiar shaped granite peaks, Huangshan Pine trees, hot springs and views of the clouds from above. You can see from the photographs taken by the team, the beautiful scenery.
Huangshan Mount is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of China’s major tourist destinations, with ancient villages and such natural landscaping it is easy to see why!
The team arrived at the Ancient Huizhou City in the afternoon on Apr. 17th, they visited a number of old buildings and the small city, the most famous building inside of the city is the Xuguo Memorial Gateway; which built in Ming Dynasty and is around 450 years old (see photograph).
On second day the team mainly spent all day on the Huangshan Mount. Arguably Huangshan Mount is the most beautiful mount in China, peak height 1,864m and as you can see from the photographs it has some amazing views.
At evening the team walked around the Ancient Tunxi Street, which has nearly a thousand years of history, some of the buildings remain the old ones, but to date some of them have been renovated or rebuilt with the same style. On the street the team were able to buy traditional commodities like tea, brush pen, inkstone, local food, hand make toy, artware, Chinese medicine etc.
On the last day, the team went on a boat tour along the Xinanjiang River, again providing such beautiful landscapes, as seen in traditional Chinese landscape paintings. After lunch, the team headed back, after speaking to Bolon Wu I believe a great experience was had by all team members!
